This Paper Pumpkin alternative balcony card is a unique fun-fold that shows off these beautiful papers from the All The Best kit! The card has two extra "ledges or balconies" inside to give a three-dimensional pop of dandelions. See below how to make one!
Hi Crafty Friends! It's time for A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop. This month's kit featured some beautiful pre-printed watercolored cards. It's a pretty simple kit, and I had lots of fun playing with it. I made this really neat card. It's so cool how just cutting apart the card and then mounting it on some black card stock can be. I got really excited to make more. I am planning to send them to my Paper Pumpkin subscribers to say "thanks for subscribing with me". I added a Flirty Flamingo card base to contrast and complement the Basic Black background and the pre-printed card. I was having such fun making them (I mean really! Aren't they lovely?) and then I realized that for this blog hop we're supposed to have a non-card project too! So I checked my box and I was down to just 2 cards! (I used some of the other cards for a tutorial). So, I decided to make some sort of cute little box. I saw one in our demo group that could hold some tea bags or other small treats, and I decided to give it a try. I used a tutorial by Sandra Ronald, at artypapercrafters.com. It's such a cute and sturdy box! I had enough printed paper to cover the front, back, and top. I stamped the sides with the flower stamp from the kit in Blackberry Bliss. This would be such a great set to give. Or the boxes would be awesome for a shower thank you gift. And now check out what I made with my very last card from the kit (as I needed more thank you cards to send). Thanks so much for checking out my blog today. September's kit is going to be full of spooky fun. If you like treat giving, you should subscribe here, https://www.paperpumpkin.com/ by Sept 10 and choose me as your demo (if you don't have one already). Or you can just trim it if you want a more masculine card to 3” x 4”. 3- Add the pattern piece to the front of the white scallop piece. Add the large leaf die cut in the center. 4- Stamp a greeting in Shaded Spruce on the thin white label. 5- Wrap 14” of Linen Thread around the bottom of the center element. With a sponge dauber and Shaded Spruce ink sponge the leaf shape along the top and bottom of the Soft Sea Foam cardstock over the smaller stamped leaf images. 3- Adhere the Soft Sea Foam cardstock to the front of the Shaded Spruce cardbase. Trim the Script Family piece down to 3” x4 ¼”. Adhere to the center of the card with dimensionals. 4- Cut out leaves and flowers with the Bouquet Dies or other punches in Mint Macaron and Rococo Rose cardstock and the butterfly die cut. Adhere under or over the script family piece as you like. Add Crushed Curry pearls in the center of the flowers. 5- Add a piece of white cardstock from the original cardbase to the inside of the card so you can write a message. You can decorate with stamps or die cuts as you like. All Done! Hello Crafty Friends!! It is time once again for the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! This is where we show you some alternate uses for your Paper Pumpkin kits. Now, we love Paper Pumpkin, and are happy with the projects as designed, but sometimes we like to challenge ourselves and make some other things up with them. I didn't do it this time, but these would make some very cute boxes!! I might have to do that with some of the remaining kit contents. But for now, here is my card: I normally like to use the stamps when I am creating my alternates, and I did use stamps on the front, the splatter and the words, and on the inside. Here is my inside: I also used some of the extra kit contents, and cut up one of the card bases. One of the things I like about Paper Pumpkin is, they normally have the same print on the front and back of the card bases. I can use the front and still cut the back down for a card layer, and make the card as originally planned just by adding a card base. Hope you like the card. Please hop along and check out the rest of the alternate projects. Leave a comment when you see something you like. Follow the links below: Blog Hop Index Until next time... Happy Craftin'!

This month, Paper Pumpkin Alternatives (The Adventure Begins) July 2021 were exceptionally fun to make. Outdoor adventure, holiday, and more!
After the Sea of Textures card - I was wiped! So we wrapped up the mini-retreat and I had to put the other side of my brain to work for a while. So after a few hours of chores, I circled back - time to play catch up - I missed one of the color challenges / Colour Combo Blog Hop that Tracy participated in, so here us my take on Balmy Blue, Mango Melody and Blackberry Bliss. What is funny about this card - is I whipped it together in about 15 minutes (the design) using the Incredible Like You stamp set. Its amazing what can happen when you clear your head! ~Enjoy Tracy's card Color Inspiration Shop Stampin' Up! products here!
