Do It Your Self - Current project is to paint my bedroom walls. I need a little help figuring out exactly what I'm looking at.I'm replacing the wallpaper in my bedroom with a fresh coat of paint (you can see why in the attached image). Maybe you can help me figure out exactly what we're looking at for the next couple steps.The walls are made of cheap wood paneling (even worse than the wallpaper, imo), that has been primed. Below the moulding it's painted, above it is wallpaper. The upper right side of the image shows the paneling as it is behind all of the wallpaper.Questions:I read somewhere that there is special wallpaper primer, but this looks like it could be the same primer that's behind the old paint. Could this be true? The wallpaper comes of very easily with warm soapy water, no scoring needed.After a thorough cleaning, can I paint over old primer? Or should I re-prime all of it?Any insight into this project will be very appreciated. If you've come across a hangup, I'd love to hear it before I get too far into the project.Thanks!e: formating
