Hi there! I'm squeezing in one more summery beach card here before I get totally engrossed in fall and Christmas stuff :) I have a card to share with you today using some of the July release from Hello Bluebird. I'm using the adorable Come On In stamp set, Beach Play stamp set, and the Ocean Waves Scene Vertical Slimline die. For the background, I used the Ocean Waves Scene Vertical die and I used Distress inks to ink the individual waves and sand. I sprinkled each with water and speckled with more of the same colors of ink. For the cute little images, I colored those with Copic markers, cut them out with the coordinating dies and added them to the card with foam tape. I hope you have enjoyed my card today! Enjoy those last few days of summer we have left! Hugs, Kay :)

Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of Previews for the new Hello Bluebird release, available May 6th at 7PM MST! Today, I am showcasing the adorable set called Rain or Shine. I combined it with the new Partly Cloudy Die and Jane Small Alpha to create my card. To begin, I cut a rectangular panel of Bristol cardstock slightly smaller than A2 size and ink blended it with Chipped Sapphire, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I splattered some water, then white acrylic paint onto my background. Once dry, I white heat embossed the "rain" onto my inked background. Next, I stamped the images from Rain or Shine, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. I die cut the rainbow sentiment (three times) using the new Jane Small Alpha and lined it up along the bottom, making sure it was centered. Before attaching, I stamped the sentiment in black ink from another new set, Singing in the Rain. I arranged the colored images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I attached my card front to a white A2 card base to complete my card. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you are loving the new release so far! Make sure you stop by the Hello Bluebird blog for more Day 2 previews from the team! See you tomorrow for release day!! Hugs

Hello there and welcome to day two of the Clearly Besotted July 2022 Teasers. Today I am using the super cute Lovely Lemonade set. There is a funny story behind this card; My lovely teamie Keren mentioned that the set completely reminded her of THIS song/YouTube video. I had never seen or heard it before but oh goodness, I was singing it for the next week! Haha! So although there are a few different critters in this set, I HAD to use the duck! :) PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by stamping the lemonade stand and duck from the Clearly Besotted Lovely Lemonade Stamp Set on to white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I coloured them using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies list for reference). I then fussy cut them out using scissors. I took Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Dies and die cut three circles, two the same size and one slightly smaller. On the smaller one I added ink blending with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and ink blending brushes. I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass and then for the sky, I placed the Clearly Besotted Cloudy Day Stencil down first and then added ink blending with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. I made a circle card base with the two larger circles (I made the card base the same as what I made in this video HERE) and then added the inked panel on top with thin foam tape. The images were then added on top with more thin foam tape. To finish off, I added Sakura Black Glaze Pen to the duck's eyes, Clear Glaze Pen to his beak and then white highlights to the lemons. COPIC MARKERS: Duck - YR27, Y17, Y15, Y11/YR18, YR15, YR12. Lemons - Y19, Y08, Y06, Y04, Y02, YG01, YG00/YG17, YG23, YG01. Lemonade stand - E57, E55, E53, E51. I decided to leave a sentiment off this card. I do not do that very often, but I thought it worked okay without and I can write a personal message inside. For more inspiration using the new release, please head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog, Keren, Francine and Alberto. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate it. I hope you have a great day!
Hi there! I'm back again with another card to share with you using the Hello Bluebird new release! My card today uses the adorable Picked For You stamp set. I colored everything with Copic mark
Easter Blessings Hello dear friends! I am back to share my second Hello Bluebird card with you. I have been thinking about the stamp sets I purchased from the Hello Bluebird February release and why I love them so much. A friend wrote the kindness comment on my last blog post that said, "These stamps are so you, Susie!" Wasn't that nice? I had an immediate connection to these stamp sets from the beginning. For me they tell a story, trigger a memory, and project a kindness that we all want more of. With Easter just a couple of weeks away I wanted to create a card that celebrates both springtime and Easter. Here in the south we decorate anything that isn't nailed down. Springtime wreaths adorn the doors of southern homes, and baskets of flowers brighten the porches. All herald the beginning of spring in the south! My card uses four Hello Bluebird stamp sets, Banner Buddies, Springtime, Spring Gatherings, and the sentiment from Spring Banner Script. A wreath loaded with springtime and Easter sweetness! Peeps, baskets, flowers, and eggs are all nested among fresh sprigs of spring green. Butterflies cannot stay away from the sweet smell of pink tipped blossoms ready to bloom. All my sweet petite images are colored with Copic markers. I cut out a circle to help place the images in the envisioned order. Once the wreath was finished, I flipped it over and adhered some adhesive mounting tape and then set it aside. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the circle (which was my negative) and did some ink blending with scattered straw distress ink. With all the pieces finished I mounted it all on a scored 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square panel. The panel is edged with a gold leaf pen, and is a finished 5 x 5 square card with lots of white space. A little Wink of Stella for some iridescent shine, and Nuvo Tonic white for flower centers. I hope you've enjoyed this card, and are inspired to create your own. As always, I am delighted to share a card with you. I'll see you soon with another springtime delight as we spend time in the garden. Until then, Come back. Sit a while. I think we're going to be friends.
Hello! Day 4 of the Hello Bluebird June release Previews and also RELEASE DAY!!! (7pm MST) I'm introducing you to Beach Babes where we get to enjoy more of the adorable piggies we've come to love from Hello Bluebird over the months. This is a slimline card with finished dimensions of 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches to fit a standard Size 9 envelope. I masked off the edges of my panel with washi tape and ink blended using Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber and Tea Dye. A few splashes of water were spritzed on then blotted up just to soften the appearance and then the mask was carefully removed. Along the white line where the water meets the sand I dabbed on Stickles in 'Crystal' with my fingertip, you can just about make it out in Photo 4 of this blogpost but in person it gives a gorgeous strip of glitter through the scene. I used the wave die from Otter Friends to cut the wave openings in the water and I used a white gel pen to highlight the edge of each opening. Next, I tackled the die cutting of the new Oliver Alpha Dies. From 110lb white cardstock I die cut each letter 4 times over and glued them in stacks and then after determining the centre point of the length of my card I centred the word 'punny' word BACON and adhered. I stamped the two smaller sentiments which are from Hippos On Holiday, backing the white strip with dimensional foam tape and adhering. On Strathmore Bristol Smooth and with my favourite Ranger Archival Ink in Potting Soil. I stamped all the piglets from Beach Babes. I watercolour painted the images using the following colour palette - Kuretake Zigs in Flesh Colour, Pale Pink, Blush, Light Pink, Carmine Red, Cobalt Blue and Beige. I also used a Tombow ABT in 020. All images were die cut and backed with foam tape and adhered. A few points were highlighted again using the white gel pen. The finishing touch was to simply adhere some 'raindrop' style embellishments upside down turning them into splashes instead! I also used used a pale gold gel pen and dotted in some glimmer in both the sand and sea. I thank you for coming by to read about this card. I hope you are excited as we are for the release this evening. Happy shopping! Nicky x

Hi there, For my last 2019 card, I went with a pretty simple card but with a lot of glitter and sparkles to help us celebrate the new year properly. I first started by cutting a 5,5 x 4,25 inches black panel. And I used a firework stencil by Simon Says Stamp + Gold Glitter Stickles by Ranger to create very sparkly fireworks on my panel. When the whole panel was covered I set it aside to dry and started working on the numbers that are from the Advent Numbers digital stamp set designed by Magengo. I wanted to use textured gold glitter paper to coordinate with the fireworks but I wasn't sure that my Scan 'n Cut would cut the numbers nicely so I printed and fussy cut them. Next I used those pieces as stencils and traced the numbers at the back of my glitter paper. And then I simply cut them. To frame the numbers, I cut a black rectangle and a shiny white rectangle slightly bigger than the other. I layered both pieces together using foam squares, and attached the element on the firework panel. I stuck my panel to a black card base. I white heat embossed Happy New Year on black cardstock and trimmed it to create a thin banner that I attached on my panel. Next I adhered the numbers using foam squares, and glued gold sequins and clear droplets here and there to finish my card. Happy Sunday, friends! I've had a whirlwind few days taking my cute daughter graduation dress (and other end of year occasions) shopping and then we took Senior Pictures! It's so fun seeing her blossom into such a fabulous young lady! Despite my whirlwind, it was so fun to sit down and create this cute springtime scene using these cute critters from the latest Hello Bluebird release! This particular set is called Bloom and Grow and has so many cute and fun images to create fun springtime scenes! I stamped them all out and then had fun coloring them with an assortment of Copic markers. I used the coordinating Bloom and Grow dies to die cut the images. The background was created using Distress Oxide inks and regular Distress inks. I used brown at the bottom because I just HAD to have Mr. Mole poking up from the dirt. Isn't he the cutest? I love the little bunny planting his/her pots for the season and watching them grow! I seriously love this new set and can't wait to use even more from the new release over the next week or so! Thanks for fluttering by!
Hello everyone! I made 10 cards using the Doodlebug “Hello” collection. This is an older collection, so some items may not be available. I am on a mission to use my stash and this is on…
Hi there crafters! Today we have a new challenge for you at CAS on Friday Challenges! I must admit this one was a bit of a challenge for me as well, this time the theme is to use Anything but White. For me a CAS card has a lot of white, lol, so I had to sit down and think about this one. I came up with this cute card, created with the Maverick stamp set from Hello Bluebird, completely without white! I'm glad I started thinking outside the box, lol, sometimes you come up with ideas you really like! I used a card base for my card and started thinking about what I'd like on my front. I choose a grey striped piece of patterned paper, which I diecutted with a Stitched Rectangle die. I then stamped the text from the stamp set 'You're the Best' underneath where I wanted my images to be. I stamped the cute bunny, the plane, two clouds and birds from the set and coloured them with Copic Markers. I then diecutted a stitched circle from Vellum and added the circle and the images on to my card using dimensionals. Pretty cute and CAS right without white? Thanks for stopping by, hope to see you all entering the challenge!
Hi there! Welcome to Day 2 of previews for the brand new Hello Bluebird release, which will be available September 8th at 7pm MST. Today I...
Good morning friends. I'm guest designing again today for Hello Bluebird Stamps for their background stamp release. This release will be available in the Hello Bluebird shop March 25th at 7pm MST. There are seven brand new background stamps in this release. In addition, previously released rubber background stamps are being re-released as clear stamps. This beautiful background is called By The Sea and I paired it with the Seaside Girls Stamp. I stamped the scene on Neenah cardstock and colored it with my copics. I stamped the girls, seagull, and shells on Neenah, colored them with copics, and diecut them using the coordinating Seaside Girls Dies. I heat-embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, trimmed it, and adhered it with foam tape. I glued the shells onto the card and then adhered the sweet little girls and seagull with foam tape for added dimension. Copics Used: Water - BG07, BG05, BG02, BG01 Sky - B01, B000 Sand - E31, E30, E53, E51, E50 Lighthouse - C3, C1; R29, R27, R24 Seagrass - YG67, YG63, YG61 Seagull - C5, C3, C1; Y38, R30 Skin - E13, E11, E21, E00, E000; R20 Girl #1 Hair - E37, E99, E97, YR21 Girl #1 Swimsuit - BG09, BG07, BG02, BG00 Girl #2 Hair - E47, E25, E23, E21 Girl #2 Dress - RV66, RV63, RV52, RV10 Bucket - V12, Y15, Y13, Y11 Shells - YR23, YR21, YR20; C5, C3, C1 Be sure to stop by the Hello Bluebird Blog for even more inspiration! Greetings! I hope your week is off to a good start! I have another card to share with you using some more of the adorable products from the Hello Bluebird latest release. For my card today, I used the Besties stamp set for the cute little characters and sentiment, and the Pathway stamp for the background. I wanted to create a fall look to my scene, so I chose some fall-ish colors for the trees and bushes, mixing a little bit of orange and yellows in with my greens. Everything was colored with Copic markers. The little bear and bunny were fussy cut out and added with foam tape. I hope you have enjoyed my card today! Have a happy week ahead! Hugs, Kay :)
TGIF everybody! Not only is it the second day of previews for the new Hello Bluebird release but all of the new stamps sets and dies will be available in the Hello Bluebird store tonight at 7pm MST. Today we have two new summer themed stamp sets and a cute Halloween set to share and my post will be all about those summer cuties! This slimline card features two of the characters from the new Come On In set that includes six sweet swimmers, two sentiments and a handful of fun accents. As I was perusing this set for the first time the idea to have that swimming bear playing shenanigans with a fake shark fin tied to the top of his head had me smiling and that is always a good sign. Instead of having the little fox run into water it completed my funny story to have him skedaddling out of it, away from the "shark" that spooked him. The sentiment was borrowed from the new Beach Play set. Speaking of the Beach Play set, I grabbed the cute skunk in a tube floatie from it and paired her with the tube floatie bear cub and sentiment from the Come On In set for this card that I colored Live yesterday. We had a wonderful time creating this colorful ocean scene and I was able to share how I color bodies of water. Finally, bear cub and skunk are back and taking a surf side stroll on my last card for today. They are from the Beach Play set as well as the stamp that I used to create the waters edge. Everything else in the scene is from the older Seaside Girls set. The colors in this one are a bit more soft and muted, though skunks black fur got away from me a bit, LOL! Oh well, adds to the mood I guess! ;) Now don't forget to check out the amazing cards from my fellow team members over on the Hello Bluebird blog and sign up for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the HB store!
