Taiwanese sculptor Gaylord Ho was born in Hsin-Wu, Taiwan. Born to poor farmers Gaylord spent most of his free time helping, along with his brother, with the chores of scratching out a living on a small rice farm in middle Taiwan. His parents, while certainly not well off financially, were accepting and loving of their children and believed strongly in education. Gaylord was sent off to the public school system as soon as he was of age.

Suspended within Rosa de Jong’s simple wooden frames are miniature dwellings that climb the steep, rocky terrain. Stilt houses, tents, and exceptionally tall ladders form the idyllic environments that are surrounded by faux moss, minuscule trees, and generally rugged topography. Once assembled, the enchanting scenes appear to float in the open air or within the vertical enclosures of test tubes. Based in Amsterdam, de Jong (previously) shares with Colossal that she hopes to incorporate water-rooted plants and crystals into future projects. More

Kevin's body of work explores the relationship between three-dimensional sacred geometry and two-dimensional string art as rendered through a minimalist aesthetic. Polyhedra is the playground in which he explores a novel approach to boundary dissolution, visualizing additional dimensions through a delicate arrangement of complementary or contrasting linear patterns.
Sometimes I feel like there’s just too much photography of Paris; images we’ve seen time and again of the same monument, the same cobblestone street, the same wrought iron windows. But then I found the work of Getty photographer Gerard Hermand. He sees something most people don’t… Discover more of Gerard’s work on Flickr. :::…

Point of Reconnection (by Jonas Gerard)
