I wanted to try paper-piecing these flowers and love how it turned out. This is the third card I made with the Quiet Meadows products this week. If you missed my video, check my Blog Post from yesterday.
I’ve got a gorgeous one for you today! One of my favorite companies is Honey Bee Stamps, especially their die cuts. Melissa was kind enough to send me the Lovely Layers: Wildflowers and I could not wait to use them. I instantly knew I was going to pair them with our Lavinia Layers Die, and…
I created a CAS birthday card with my favorite dies, the *wildflowers* designed by Tim Holtz. I colored the flowers with distress ink in different colors and sprayed some white Distress Spray Stain on top. I used the funny sentiment from Rubber Dance Stamps and will enter my card into their current challenge ....

Today I'm sharing a set of card I made after I sat down and colored a bunch of Tim Holtz's wildflower dies. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them but it was fun just to try out different color combos. I created a simple layout with them, found a stamp to match the layout (it's usually the other way around) and made several cards. As you can see, I could not decide on a base color but I think all the neutral toned card stock worked just fine. :) Here's a couple of quick videos of me coloring the flowers with Zig and Tombow markers. This last one is a little different but just as quick and easy!
My favorite die, the Wildflowers designed by Tim Holtz.
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. Hope you are all having a wonderful day! I have shared quite a few masculine cards lately so, thought it was time to share a couple of feminine ones. These cards were made a few months ago and were really quick and easy to put together. They were made using Tim Holtz's Wildflower die cuts and some older papers by Kaisercraft. The primary flower was cut from designer paper and the rest were cut from cardstock. I added a piece of book paper under the flowers on the first card and inked the edges of the die cuts. The secondary flower was lightly coloured with Distress Ink, and I added a few prills amongst the greenery and to the center of the main bloom. The word chippy is by Scrapmatts. On the second card, I simply layered the papers the other way around. The top, lighter coloured paper, is the waste from cutting the primary flower for the first card. I simply set this die cut flower inside it and used a different secondary bloom. No prills this time except in the center of the secondary flower which was also coloured with Distress Ink. It usually takes me a few days to make my cards because I procrastinate so much over what to put on them but these two came together in one afternoon. So easy and simple, I shocked myself! LOL!! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and for any comment you may care to leave for me. I really do appreciate it. Have a fabulous day and stay safe! Take care and God Bless.
I really do love these flower dies they are just so lovely to cut, colour and make a card with..I have used them with Stamping up stamps and dies....and a LOTV sentiment.... I hope you are having fun crafting today...and thank you for visiting my blog....
Happiest Days is an awesome bundle with a dragonfly and some fun sentiments. I love this paired with the Dashing Designs embossing folder.
I love all things Tim Holtz and I could thin of nothing better than using some of his Wildflowers and Potted dies. I grew up in Northern Arizona and wildflowers are everywhere. Since Tim also lives in AZ, I like to think our flowers in particular inspired these dies. As long as I can remember, wildflowers in jars decorated our tables, especially when we would go camping. I cut the Wildflowers from Bee Watercolor paper and I couldn't bee ( pun intended) more pleased with how they turned out. I painted them with Mission Gold watercolors. I will say, these dies are not small and you do use a considerable amount of paper. I point that out as you may want to use less expensive watercolor paper. I used the Bee because it is one of my favorites and I was making cards for very special people. I would use something less expensive if I were making these to donate or sell. Depending on which picture you are looking at the pot is either woodgrain or terracotta. While the woodgrain took a little effort, I love how the terracotta came out! They look so real, especially in person. I used a terracotta cardstock from the stash and Wild Honey Distress ink to shade it! Also depending on which picture you are seeing, the background are different, two are the Distress crayon Fresco and one is using a shiplap background that Dawn at Wplus 9 came out with a while back.
Most precious is my little grandson coming up to me with a fistful of flowers that he proudly picked...a dozen roses cannot compete! This little bouquet reminds me exactly of that. The blooms are die cut with Tim Holtz Sizzix Wildflower Stems 1 and 2 dies from watercolor paper and watercolored with Daniel Smith watercolors. The blooms are gathered with a piece of May Art's Burlap String (other colors available), layered over a background of kraft cardstock. The Bible verse is from Stamp Simply's "Farmhouse Scriptural Quotes," on sale now with the Farmhouse Series stamps and dies. The Bible verse is stamped directly onto the background with Versafine Clair Acorn ink. All linked supplies come from Stamp Simply. Be sure to check out their Farmhouse Series sale, happening now! This is a quick tip for inking those easy-to-tear delicate die-cuts! Check out the video!

Use Your Stuff Challenge 360...Mood Board Honey Bee Stamps is having a clearance on Tim Holtz Distress Crayons. I had 1-5 sets and was thrilled to be able to get the rest through them. In the upper left corner of the mood board is my inspiration for my card. The base card is white card stock. the main piece is water color paper with assorted Tim Holtz Distress crayons rubbed over it. Next I wet my finger and smeared the colors adding more is needed. Once it was dry, have to admit I helped it along with my heat tool, I applied it to the base card. With more white card stock I die cut the verse using Tim Holtz “Celebration Words:Script” and the flowers with Tim Holtz “Wildflowers Stems #1” These i glued to the card front and trimmed as necessary. To finish I attached Katia Clear Drops with JudiKins Diamond Glaze.

Hi Everyone I hope you have all had a lovely weekend, for me it's been a weekend of Birthday celebrations ending this evening with a lovely family supper at my Mums as we all celebrate her birthday. I'm home now, settled into the sofa, and more tired than I would care to admit. Long gone are the weekends where I could party all night and survive on 2 hours sleep!!! Anyway I am sharing with you the card that I made for my Mum and it uses Tim Holtz new wildflower stem dies. I die cut each of the dies that come in Tim's Wildflower stem dies set #1 & #2 and coloured them using distress markers. The background has been created using distress oxides antique linen, vintage photo and brushed corduroy. I then stamped with the brushed corduroy oxide using the Ledger script stamp repeat stamping it to cover the background. I have added additional texture to the background by smearing distress collage medium crazing. Once that was dry I rub in walnut stain distress crayon to highlight the cracks. I then arranged the flowers and foliage into a bouquet and glued them together to form the bunch. I then added it to the background using 3D silicone gel to give it dimension from the background. I added drops of glossy accents to appear to be dew on the flowers. Some seam binding coloured with peeled paint distress inks wraps around the card before I added to a piece of kraft card that I had edged with vintage photo distress ink. The last addition was to add the happy birthday sentiment stamped from Tim's Simple Saying set stamped in potting shed archival ink pad. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy what's left of your Sunday evening Love Amanda X

Papiery z UHK. Tekturka z Anemone. Pudełko, w którym jest kartka. Baza kartki i pudełko z Rzeczy z papieru. Dziękuję Wam za odwiedziny i każdy pozostawiony komentarz:) pozdrawiam serdecznie!
Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Quiet Meadow edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Lou's blog, With a Bow on Top, welcome! There are eight of us today, so grab your favorite beverage and enjoy! Quiet Meadow is a 10 piece cling stamp set with coordinating Meadow Dies (13 pcs). It's in the 2021 Annual Catalog, but I've combined it with an upcoming new product (starts Tuesday!) on this first card. Notice the glittery die cut? That's one of the Sale-a-Bration offerings! It is sooo pretty and is going to get used a LOT. I colored and fussy cut the flowers and added some crinkled seam binding loops. The next card uses the dies and some Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP. I love the bold bright pink and orange on the more muted Pear Pizzazz. Those colors remind me of trendy colors in the 60s. (Yes, I am that old, lol.) For the last card, I colored a piece of Paper Lattice with the side of a Basic Black Stampin' Blend. The flower stem was stamped and then the negative space/background was colored with a Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend. To get the narrower Stitched Rectangle, I ran it through the machine a second time with the die moved over to trim it down to the size I wanted. That's my share for today, so jump on over to see what Jay at Mitosu Crafts has made!
Hello and thanks for popping in. I've had some more play time with the Distress Crayons this week, and I must say the more I use them, the more I love them. I began with a coat of gesso on some linen card, then I used a brick stencil with crackle paste on one side. When it was dry I rubbed Walnut Stain and Vintage photo over the bricks, loved the way the crayons settled into the cracks. I had cut some Wildflowers, tinted them with distress markers and clear embossed them a couple of weeks ago for another project, but after they were heat embossed I thought they were too pale for what I wanted. I tried smudging the crayons over the embossing, not really thinking it would work, but after letting them air dry, the new darker colour had dried fast, perfect for what I wanted. I smudged green and blue colours around on the unstenciled sided of the card to look like grass and sky, layered the flowers, adding foam pads to some of the flower heads for dimension and finally some stamped words. I've just received the 2 new colour sets, and hopefully I'll get to use them over the weekend. Have a great weekend. Avril xx
I love rainbow colors on cards, and it was really fun using the Quiet Meadow Bundle this way. Quiet Meadow Rainbow Stampin' Blends work really well for creating rainbows, because they
