Kit: Almost Midnight by Magical Scraps Galore
If your like me you save all kinds of ephemera and memorbilia - school papers, maps, tickets, receipts, postcards, your name it. I like to keep them in my scrapbooks but wanted different ways to display them. I have other samples below, but today I am going to show you how to make this "Pocket Layout" to hold all your memories. These can also be used for other purposes such as holding travel memborabilia and extra pictures your not going to scrap or handwritten letters. Leave a comment below and let me know some other ways you have used pockets. You will need 2 pieces of cordinating cardstock Something to score the paper with. Glue Embellishments or anything else you want to add. For tutorial purposes I will start with this example of one I am making to hold school supplies. I made a "memorabilia" holder for each one of the Disney parks - I took a picture of my son in front of each park icon and this will be the first page of each album. This is the same version of the pocket above except I put the right side on first putting the extra pocket facing the other way. Here are the three others I made. This one I used a frame from my Disney Scrapbook kit I got and put a transparency in front, so the stuff wouldn't fall out. The Epcot one I used my Cricut to cut out a pocket and added a transparency. You can also use a paper clip like I did to hold the postcards. There are other ways to attach items like staples or brads. And finally the Animal Kingdom is my favorite. I hand stitched around the pocket and glued another pocket on top to hold smaller items.
