A demi-god who refuses to cohabitate with humans accidentally falls in love with one in the first book of a pulse-pounding teen duology that's Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Celtic mythology. Neve has spent lifetimes defending the mortal world against the legions of hell with her two sisters. Unfortunately for Neve, in this lifetime, she is the only one of the Morrigan--a triad of Irish war gods--still stuck in high school and still without her full power. She's been counting down the days until her eighteenth birthday, when she finally gets to shed the pretenses of humanity and grow into her divine power. But then she meets Alexandria. And Alexandria is as determined to force Neve into some semblance of teenage normalcy as she is haunted by her own demons--both figurative and literal. As they grow closer, Neve decides that humanity--and, perhaps, love--isn't so detestable after all. Which makes it all the more dangerous when she realizes that something in Hell wants Alexandria, and it's be up to Neve and her sisters to save her before Alexandria's past catches up to all of them. This beautiful 78-card Tarot deck, adapted from the illustrations of Arthur Rackham, interprets Richard Wagner’s four-part opera, The Ring of the Nibelung, which traces the mythic tale of a golden ring of unlimited power plagued by a deadly curse, loose in the world of the Old Norse and Germanic gods. An End Time prophecy infuses the epic story with thought-provoking, contemporary resonance. The four elemental Tarot suits in this powerful divination tool are realized from four Ring Cycle races: Gods (Fire/Wands), demi-god Walsungs (Water/Cups), human Gibichungs (Air/Swords), and dwarf Nibelungs (Earth/Disks/Pentacles). The accompanying book explores divinatory meanings, lensed partly through the feminine and esoteric, and also delves into The Ring of the Nibelung’s characters, plot, themes, and unique music, which would inspire J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth novels decades later. This deck remains true to the spirit of Wagner, Rackham, and the Tarot, demonstrating useful contemporary insight into all three of these timeless arts.Includes cards and book.Card dimensions: 3" x 5 1/2" This beautiful 78-card Tarot deck, adapted from the illustrations of Arthur Rackham, interprets Richard Wagner’s four-part opera, The Ring of the Nibelung, which traces the mythic tale of a golden ring of unlimited power plagued by a deadly curse, loose in the world of the Old Norse and Germanic gods. Inspired by everyone's favorite demi-god, is this hard-enamel Symbol of the Gods pin. The pin features a brilliant lightning bolt striking down from the heavens surrounded by a Grecian boarder. Cast from copper with details painted with metallic gold, the pin is extreme glossy and shiny, giving a vibe from antiquity! Show off your divinity and that you have what it takes to go the distance! Pin measures just shy of 1.25". Hard enamel pin cast in copper and painted with metallic gold accents, and topped with a gloss varnish (as are all jewelry quality hard enamel pins). **For "Seconds Sale" grade purchases: please note the pin you are buying is a “second,” meaning there is a very small cosmetic flaw (like a more noticeable speck or two mixed into the glitter, a low filled enamel channel, small scuff/scratch, a thicker mold line, low amount of glitter, etc.) The small flaws are barely noticeable unless looking at the pin very close in harsh lights. All "seconds sale" pins have ALL the enamel channels filled (I personally consider any pin with an unfilled/blank enamel channel unsuitable for sale.) There is absolutely nothing wrong with the "seconds sale" pins—is just didn’t pass my high quality standards for one of the listed reasons. Recommended for ages 12+
