Hello everyone! So, there is a quite a bit of scoop floating around the doll world right now, so I'm going to tell you my thoughts. NOTE: These pictures belong to agoverseasfan, NOT ME. They are NOT my pictures. Thanks! YEP! AG is bringing back Samantha! I'm so excited! Here's what new Samantha is supposedly going to look like. The clothes she's wearing are NOT hers and have nothing do do with her. Apparently, she's going to have feathered eyebrows instead of her former line eyebrows. Honestly, I don't really know how I feel about this "HC revamp". The line, while in need of some attention, is fine as it is. Also, there have been rumors of the Best Friend dolls retiring. I really hope this is not true. That means saying goodbye to Ivy, Ruthie, and either both or one of Cecile and Marie Grace. The trademark "Be Forever" has been floating around on AG's Trademarkia, so it may have something to do with the new HC line. They also trademarked "Timeless stories. Inspiring characters. Endless possibilities." That obviously will coincide with the revamp. I'm just going to wait and see how this all plays out. This could be amazing, like the MyAG revamp in 2010, or a complete failure like the Bitty's. NOTE: These pictures are from various IG accounts. They are NOT mine. Thanks! But there's a little more scoop floating around Dollstagram: This. In my opinion, she's gorgeous. Everyone, including I, think that she is a new HC to come along with Samantha in the fall. Judging from her dress, she'll be from the 50's or 60's. I LOVE her hair! This doll is absolutely adorable! I may want her, but I think I'm just about done getting dolls, but probably not!:D I don't like this dress. I mean, it's cute, but I don't know. On AG Trademarkia, the names Grace and Emmy are trademarked. If her name is Grace, Marie-Grace, and Cecile, will probably go. I wouldn't be surprised; they haven't sold well since they came out. Emmy is the other name. I like it, but not my favorite. What are your thoughts on this? Please comment down below! On a different note, the AC Moore in my area was closing, so they had a big blowout sale. And I got some stuff for an amazing price! I got the letters A and G to paint and put in my dollhouse, a mini vanity for my mini dolls, some elastic (not shown), and Springfield ballet slippers. The vanity is wooden with a drawer and a mirror. It was $0.60. The drawer opens and offers plenty of storage. The letters were $0.30 each. I would've bought more, but I wanted to buy elastic that day. Here is my best deal and most exciting purchase- the Springfield ballet slippers! And for get this- $3.64! The back. The set comes with an SF Style Ckub code and the ballet slippers. The code from the front, and the back. Here are the shoes! When I untied them, there was an explosion of ribbon. The ribbon is a good 6 inches long on each shoe. They are made of synthetic silk. The sole is harder, so I think it has a layer of cardboard sewn into it. To lace it up, you just criss-cross the ribbons twice across the doll's legs and tie in a bow. These slippers are great quality. I don't think I'd bury them at the full price of $5.99, but if you see them on sale, grab them! I give them a solid 9 out of 10. Well, I hope you enjoyed this mush of random ideas. Re-introducing the lovely Monica, my 1971 Brunette Sasha that joined the Sashas here at Rose Cottage back in the summer of 2011. She has slightly falling hair so doesn't get 'played' with as much as the others and I try to limit changing her clothes to just the four seasons, plus occasionally she will model some clothes. I bought her from Shelly at Sasha Doll UK and the following two photos are taken from her stock photos that the talented Shelly took. She came wearing a pretty smocked dress made by Patty. How could anyone not fall in love with that charming face? Of course back in 2011 I was still learning how to photograph these dolls and my photos don't always do her justice! Her arrival photos. One of the first dresses she modelled was a Christmas dress that I sold. She is a beautiful model and a delight to photograph. In 2012 Monica modelled the Sasha Festival Donation that Norvell and I put together. Norvell made the lovely smocked dress and provided the shoes and socks and I knitted her cardigan, made from NZ wools and added the Pukeko. Monica modelling another summer dress in 2012 Wearing a blue corduroy dress and yellow coat. The dress I made in the winter of 2012. Monica modelling the white dress I made for the 2013 Sasha Festival. Here she is wearing the lovely dress that Norvell donated to the 2013 Sasha Festival that I won in the auction. It is really beautiful. Looking bright and cheerful in her New Zealand native animals print dress. Wearing an outfit I made in 2014 This is the dress she was wearing last week....she was glad to be changing out of it in to summer clothes. She models a short sleeve tunic dress I made for an order. The other dress made to order with short sleeves. I think I will have to make her one to keep! Lastly the dress she has changed into for this summer. A pretty smocked dress made by Karen.
