Forget the expensive store-bought stuff, the crafting experts at HGTV.com show you how to upcycle thrift-store toys to create spooky Halloween decor.
About me: Collecting abandoned dolls from local thrift stores to upcycle into unique planters has become a strange hobby of mine. After the babes come back to my home, I start the process of dismantling each doll to make use of as many parts as possible. They are first deconstructed, then the heads are customized to make room for a new tiny plant. I propagate my own plants from cuttings and always use a plant vessel of some sort - so the soil does not touch the dolls. As such, I will not include a plant unless you order one. The plant babies I send will be varied and small, but rooted. About this item: This creepy planter is made from a plastic doll with a date stamp of 2000, making this an upcycled, vintage find. After the deconstruction phase, I hand painted this baby with acrylics and a crackle finish, and now she is a unique, one-of-a-kind gift. Since she was a doll in her previous life, she already has a drainage hole at the base of her neck. The hole at the top of her head is approximately 2-2.5" in diameter, but not perfectly round as I cut this myself by hand. You have the option of choosing to purchase this doll with or without a plant included, for only $7 additional. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Vintage doll head planter with a vintage plate for small plants. I make these cute little planters myself from abandoned vintage doll heads and beautiful vintage tea plates. Because the head is open at the bottom, the excess water can drain, making sure the plant stays healthy and happy. This means the plate is not only for decoration purposes, but also to catch the drained water. -----When you buy this you will receive:---- - 1 doll head planter with vintage plate. Planter and plate are carefully packaged to make sure it will not be damaged on the way. PLANT IS NOT INCLUDED.
