This is my little "Summer House" dollhouse. It oozes Cape Cod vintage style with the ease of summertime furnishings. This dollhouse is made from scratch with a bump out section in the front for the entry. This house is 11 3/4" wide x 18 3/4" long x 15 3/4" tall. I had this design in my mind for a long time. The cozy front yard has a sand path that leads to the front door. I love the roofs on this dollhouse. That top front window is such a charmer! I decided the dormer should have the shingles. It's so traditional. I made a screen door for this dollhouse instead of a front door. I didn't want a door to take up any space inside the house. I use real screen from the hardware store between two pieces of veneer. I made this little bistro chair from Evangelione's wonderful tutorial and a wooden box. The switches are in the chimney. One is for the fireplace and the other controls all the lights. I made the entry armoire from bass wood veneer. Downstairs I made 3 chandeliers and working fire all battery operated. I also made a sink, vintage style cooking range, upholstered chair, mantel, kitchen table, stool, laundry basket, ladder steps, baking scene, rug, artwork, plate drying rack, shelves, rolling pin, clay houses, bunting, curtains. I think that's everything! I tried to make these curtains like they were blowing from the wind of the open window. Here you can see the little lights in the logs. I also put a little apron back there. Non of the furniture or accessories are glued down. If you want to make the stove here's my tutorial: http://www.cinderellamoments.com/2014/04/vintage-style-dollhouse-miniature-stove.html Upstairs, everything is handmade. The tutorial for the tray table is here: http://www.cinderellamoments.com/2015/04/dollhouse-miniature-tray-table-tutorial.html Here's the space empty. I hope you enjoyed seeing "Summer House." The ultimate guide to creating a DIY surf shop right in your dollhouse. The perfect beach dramatic play center.
Amazing little cottage. The house is designed in the style of a French hut. Beautiful house with a small veranda and a cozy wooden and stones bench. The interior has also been deliberately antiqued to preserve the integrity of the overall design. Downstairs there is a kitchen and a living room. We have a cozy bedroom and bathroom upstairs. I decided to add wooden floors that would bring much-needed warmth to this small space, the walls are also lined with wooden slats painted with white water-based paint and wallpaper. A beautiful fireplace with little angels gives the cottage a warm atmosphere. Blinds and curtains on the windows to match the whole set. The cottage is equipped with light points in the bedroom, kitchen, and living room. All lights are battery-operated. The house is made to order, some details may differ from the picture. I enjoyed every moment I spent working on this project, I felt like a real architect and builder. I hope that this house will make the future owner as happy as I do during his work Made of MDF, plywood, wood, fabric. I have furnished a house! This is a repeat of a house I've done before called Whispering Brook. It's a bit different from the first since they are all handmade from scratch. I had lots of fun creating a very vintage and romantic environment! Enjoy the photos. I hope these photos provided you with a bit of inspiration. Happy creating! hugs,

This is a photo of my Fairy Cottage. It is a quarter scale kit by Suzanne and Andrews Minis. The landscaping was very time consuming but I loved every minute of it. The bird bath had a bird by Mini Gems, Barbara Meyer. Each paper punched flower was cupped with a stylus. I used a colored pencil to all some color to the centers. The tree trunk is from twisted wire. Rapunzel Cinderella by the wishing well. The pond has resin "water" and two swans. The stones were all made from paperclay. Snow White holding a tiny bird. Have a seat under the tree. The bird feeder has a tiny cardinal. Now that the landscaping is done, I am working on the interior furnishings. Next Wednesday, I am leaving for the NAME Lexington Kentucky Convention. I plan to buy more goodies for my houses. Thank you for visiting my Fairy Cottage. Mini hugs, Donna
1" scale dollhouse - 2" in length A carved and sanded block of Balsa wood and a length of thin dowel is the beginning of my miniature lobster buoy.... Painted as the real ones are with colors, when bobbing in the ocean, signify the owner of those particular buoys and the traps they are attached to...... ....and if they're not yours - DON'T TOUCH THEM !!! After painting them, sanding my buoys again slightly will create a worn and weathered look, then also dipped in stain to add the rustic realism.
