About our Styrofoam Ceiling Planks Polystyrene (Styrofoam) ceiling planks are one of the fastest and easiest ways to cover the popcorn ceilings and enhance any room's decor. All you need to do is glue these ceiling planks directly over the popcorn. The planks have beveled edges for an easy butt joint installation. These planks come in a beautiful wood imitation finish (the plank is plain - there is no texture). Besides popcorn, these Styrofoam ceiling planks could be installed over pretty much any flat solid surface (plywood, drywall, concrete, etc'). These planks cannot be installed in the t-bar grids ( can not be used as a suspended ceiling tile). It is also not recommended to use it on the walls ( as a wall panel ) because the material is pretty soft. MATERIAL: Made out of Polystyrene (Styrofoam) DIMENSIONS: Each plank is ~100cmX16.67cm or ~39.4"x6.56" which is ~1.8 sq.ft. Pack of 24 planks will cover ~43 sq. fit. Thickness: ~0.14" (~3.7mm) WEIGHT: feather-light. ~0.66 OZ each plank ( ~ 20 gm) COLOR: Grey EASY INSTALLATION: Easy to install and you won't need any special equipment to achieve a professional result. See detailed instructions below. MAINTENANCE FREE. Moisture-proof and easy to clean and virtually maintenance-free. MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY - Pack of 24 planks. Please contact me for other options. 1-888-717-8453 SHIPPING : We strive to ship these within 1 business day. INTERNATIONAL GUESTS PLEASE NOTE - Import duties, taxes, and VAT charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. RETURNS: In order to receive your money back (less S&H back and forth) you have to return it to me unused, undamaged in the original package within 30 days. FEEDBACK : Please don't leave me negative or neutral feedback, in case you experience any issue with my product, please contact me first, and I assure you we will resolve the problem. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS : 1. Prepare the surface. remove loose plaster, paint, wallpaper, etc. 2. Apply the adhesive on the back of the tile along its perimeter. We recommend Styro Pro adhesive ( please see our other listings to purchase), or ceramic wall tile paste adhesive is recommended (like Acryl Pro or Omni Grip). 3. We recommend starting along the longest wall and work your way to the other side of the room, similar to the way the hardwood is installed. 4. The planks have finished beveled edges and are installed by butt joining. 5. Planks can be cut with a utility knife.
When renovating a historic home, if you want to preserve its charm and vintage design characteristics, it’s important to keep these things in mind, stylistically: Researching the home’s original design era is key, preserving and calling attention to ornate details (like windows or trim work) will help the space feel historic in a good way, and carefully selecting new elements that complement the older details will make the whole space feel seamless.
