Converting tangles into Blossoms over Renaissance tile.
In 2020–2021, I tried to adopt the Zentangle techniques into a 3D presentation. Thus in a month or so I created a total six…

(From a book in which Maria writes favorite quotes.) Maria writes: This perspective is something Rick and I had thought about when we designed the Zentangle Method. Being confronted with a large blank canvas or sheet of paper can be a bit intimidating. But, a beautiful small square of paper, well . . . . . . not so much. And each small stroke done with great love . . . . . . is precious. We can accomplish something Start to finish. Admire our completed work of art or, Start over. In one sitting. Without taking a day off or Ignoring day to day happenings. Just draw 'til we are done . . . . . . one stroke at a time. Then move on to life as we know it . . . . . . one stroke at a time. But with maybe a bit of a smile to make the day One we can work with. Anything is possible. A few tiles to ponder. Comment if you will. We will send one off to one of you lovely folks as a token of our gratitude. . . . because, well, it's all about gratitude, isn't it?? Rick adds: And who's to say that . . . . . . small things . . . . . . can't also be . . . . . . great things? Each stroke . . . . . . great love. Click small images for great views! Debra Castaldi . . . a tile from our blog post "So Many Tanglers" is on its way to you. Congratulations! .
Congratulations Laura on the 250th Challenge. It's amazing how you give us a challenge every week for over 5 years already. It's so inspiring to join the challenge, Thank you so much! This week a lovely challenge......to go back to basic. There are so many ways and materials we can tangle with that we almost forgot how it started. But this week we should make a Zentangle the way it all started on a 3.5" square tile with a black pen and shaded with pencil. It was so much fun and relaxing to do. Here are my tiles for this week.

IamtheDivaCZT, aka Laura Harms, CZT, aka "The Diva" has posted her 200th weekly Zentangle challenge. Congratulations Laura on your "Bi-Zen-Tennial Celebration"! This week, Laura challenged us to: ". . . use your Mac'N'Cheese tangle in a Monotangle. Or, in other words: create a tile using ONLY your go to, or favourite tangle. "And let's take advantage of the WHOLE tile! No borders! Let's extend from end to end, and fill our tiles BURSTING with Tangly JOY! "And finally - put the number 200 (big or small) somewhere on your tile." Maria used rixty . . . I (Rick) used paradox . . . (Laura, two "C" shapes facing each other formed its string.) In honor of this special event, Maria (who I think writes awesome limericks) composed . . . Two hundred is quite a "festiva" Can anyone hardly believe a. . . Goddess named Laura Zentangled an aura All around us. . . ."Viva la Diva!" Congrats again, Laura! Thanks for creating such a fun tradition in this wonderful Zentangle community. R&M P.S. Laura would love to have 200+ tiles for this event. So, we encourage you to join this celebration with your tile. And be sure to check out all the amazing tiles already there at this link. P.P.S. She's got give-aways! :-)

This is one of the examples of Mysealiam I showed in my Art Club class yesterday. This one is particularly busy with lots of tentacles!!!
My multimedia journaling has taken a decidedly Dervish like turn lately. I find I am needing more time to feel each page is complete but am getting more frantic with the desire to finish in the time I have. I do not deal well with deadlines when it comes to my artwork and there is something awkward about feeling self imposed deadlines pushing down on you. With my work schedule being what it is right now (two part time jobs that have yet to balance with each other) I have decided to take a break from the glue, spray ink, stamps and paint brushes and get back to the line art that got me on this path in the first place. The use of one or two pens to create an entire page of evolving patterns. I will continue sharing what art I make and a little peek into hectic-ville with my loyal three at least once a week, almost surely on Wednesday. When I get back the peace of mind and the time (most important) to delve back into the rainbow dervish whirling happily in my head I will let you all in on it. I hope you enjoy what I have for you today. Peace, joy and love to you all.
Welcome, This is the place where all my "stuff" is posted, is it Art? it might be, its a journey thats for sure... and.. its a learning experience, Zentangles are created as each stroke touches the page, no mistakes and completely in the moment... My wish would be to live my life in such a way :)
