Spacebobs Droids is very proud to once again open its Droid Division Workshop to bring you a super detailed and solid state Bug Droid STL file set. Listing is NOT a physical item/prop, but it is, FILES for 3D PRINTING at home. As files cannot be returned to me... I cannot refund money anymore unfortunately, be very sure of this before buying. IMPORTANT! This file set was always intended as, and comes as a Free/Bonus file set included with the Movie Styled Pit Droid, BattleDroid, Rat Catcher, IG Head, K2 Head and the DRK-1 file sets, so if you already have bought any of those, just re-download it and files will be included so don't buy this lol This file set is for all the people who specifically asked for a stand alone listing, who have not bought from me before and just want the Bug Droid on its own. The Bug Droid STL files include everything you need to print the whole Droid including, an Information Sheet and a General Printing Tips PDFs to help you with the build. As with all DD 3D files they are single person usage and not to be shared or sold, even if (especially if lol) modified. It can be filled and finished to your own standard but even looks great printed at 0.3 layer height and left with the layer lines as it’s a robot. He is a some what poseable, Droid but some articulations are limited and cooked in. There is space to add lights to the lenses if you like . This file set is really quite simple and very easy to print and make. It can be simply glued together as a sturdy "toy" or it can be posed flying on it's sturdy stand, or on it's not so sturdy Legs Wings are not poseable as such but can be displayed open, or closed by leaving off the hinge part... Massively important July 2022 update! Files now come with another link to add automation to the wings, lights and sounds if you would like to try such wizardry! A full information sheet with a list of all servos and parts is included! All parts print easily on an small printers including the Prusa Mini It will use less than 300grams of filament and print without supports. It is very much advised that you keep the Etsy link saved safe. File downloaded will simply be a PDF with an introduction to the build which contains a link to the Droids most updated STL and Information Dropbox Files. Stands approximately 1.2m high Comes seperated to allow for moving joints. (Not fully assembled) Is a true show stopper and comes straight from the print bed. I would recommend pipe or dowells in the joints for structural integrity
Here's the final drawings of the droids that were done to help inform the build of the practical props here at Weta and for the CG models...
