I promised you some cards using the new Eden's Garden bundle coming 2nd November. I started with a Christmas card using Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen. This isn't my own design, I did see it online but I cannot seem to find it again! The stamps on this set have a lovely, soft, water colour look to them which I love. And this card would be so easy to mass produce for those of us that have a long list of people to send cards to! Hi Everyone, I thought I would have another play with the beautiful Eden's Garden Suite which is coming soon for customers (November 2nd). This time, I have played with some of the designer series papers and the edge die which is very pretty. Let me show you how I made this card. Materials 1 piece of soft succulent card stock 5 7/8" x 7 1/2" 1" x 5 7/8" strip of evening evergreen cotton paper 1 piece of dsp 2 7/8" x 5 7/8", 1 piece of contrasting dsp 1 1/2" x 5 7/8" 1 piece of basic white 2 1/2" x 5 7/8" and a scrap for the sentiment 2 strips of gold foil 1/2" x 5 7/8" and a scrap for the sentiment Eden's garden stamp set Evening Evergreen ink Eden dies Garden Gems Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine Trimmer Simply scored Bone folder Multipurpose adhesive Dimensionals Instructions On the long side score the card stock at 3 3/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base, the shorter side is the front piece. Line up the edge die with the long side of the shorter front piece of the card front and run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine to give the fancy, decorative edge. Die cut another edge piece from the cotton paper in evening evergreen. Adhere the cotton paper decorative edge along the card front, just behind the decorative edge of the card so that it peeps out from behind it. Adhere a strip of the gold foil to the reverse of the card front, covering the edge of the cotton paper to protect it. Add the larger piece of dsp to the card front so that it goes from the folded edge of the card up to the dotted line which will be showing from the die cut edge. Add the smaller piece of dsp to the inside of the card from the outer edge. Stamp a sentiment on the piece of basic white for the inside and add so that it slightly overlaps the edge of the dsp to cover it. Add the other strip of gold foil over the join between the dsp and the basic white on the inside so that when the card is closed, it shows off the decorative edge of the card front, see images. Stamp a sentiment on the scrap of basic white and layer this on to the gold foil and trim around it. Add a couple of the Garden gems and add to the card front using dimensionals. Check out my one sheet wonder cards I made using the NEW Eden's Garden stamp set! I also made a little box to hold all of these cards too! How did I do this? 1. I just stamped in the center of a 8 1/2 x 11" piece of Basic White card stock, doing vertically & then horizontally. 2. I then cut this into 1/2 at 4 1/4" & then at 5 1/2". That gave me 4 separate pieces that all measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2". 3. I then cut 1/2" off of each of the outside edges on all 4 sides of each of these rectangles. When they are trimmed down they will each measure- 3 3/4 x 5". So what do you think? Neat huh! Here are the supplies & measurements. stamp set: Eden's Garden card stock: Evening Evergreen- Vertical= 5 1/2 x 8 1/2"- score at 4 1/4"- fold in half for card base; Horizontal= 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 5 1/2"- fold in half for card base Soft Succulent- 4 x 5 1/4" Basic White- 3 3/4 x 5"- this is piece that has leaves/vines/berries stamped onto it Ever Eden Paper- Vertical= 1 x 4"- tear in half & use under strip on both vertical cards; Horizontal= 1 x 5 1/4"- tear in half & use under strip on both horizontal cards. Evening Evergreen-Vertical= 3/4 x 4"; Horizontal= 3/4 x 5 1/4" Soft Succulent- 2 1/2" strip- punch out using Label Me Lovely Punch Evening Evergreen- 2 1/4" strip- die cut circle Basic White-2" strip- stamp words & die cut with circle or punch out using the Tailored Tag Punch Basic White- 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card ink: Evening Evergreen other: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Layering Circle Dies; Tailored Tag Punch; Labely Me Lovely Punch; 2021-2023 In Color Gems (Evening Evergreen); Soft Succulent Ribbon; dimensionals; glue dots I also made a little box that will hold all 4 of these cards, plus the envelopes! Isn't it CUTE! I just wrapped a 1 x 12" pieces of DSP around the box & decorated it using the Seasonal Label Dies. Here is the pattern if you want to make this box. Soft Succulent CS- 8 1/2 x 11"-score @ 2 3/4", 3 1/4", 7 3/4" & 8 1/4". Turn & score at 1/2", 1", 7" & 7 1/2". Then CUT OUT the 4 corners on the top & bottom both as shown by the shaded areas. Add Tear & Tape along the one edge & bottom edge & fold. NOTE: The top flap is the little longer end & this is shown in the pattern on the bottom side. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you come again. I post something new each day!! Happy Stamping! Hugs- SUSIE
Over the years I have made or watched made so many fun fold cards that half the time I can’t remember the name of the fold. I actually remember this one, it is a latch fold and it is a simple and fun card to create… Let’s start by creating our card base. It is Evening Evergreen cardstock cut to 6 ½ x 5 ½” and is scored at 4 ¼” on the 6 ½” side. To that we are going to add a piece of Gold Foil that measures 2 1/8 x 5 3/8”. Then we are going to add a piece of the beautiful Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series paper that measures 2 x 5 ¼”. To create the piece that will be caught up in the latch, we are going to cut a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock to 3 ½ x 3 ¼” and score it at ¾” on the 3 ½” side. The ¾” scored piece is adhered to the inside of the card right in the center and then the 4 x 5 ¼” Basic White cardstock card center is adhered right over that. To the front of this piece, we are going to add Gold Foil that measures 2 5/8 x 3 1/8” and on top of that a piece of our DSP that measures 2 ½ x 3”. Now to decorate and create our “latch”. I started by stamping the sentiment “Sending Hugs” from the Eden’s Garden Bundle (I love this font) to a label cut from Basic White cardstock using one of the dies from the Painted Labels Dies (there are some great labels in this set that can be used with many of the sentiments Stampin’ Up! has) using Evening Evergreen Ink. I also added two of the little leaf branches from the set on either side of the label using Soft Succulent Ink. I then die cut two of the circles from the Layering Circles Dies out of Evening Evergreen cardstock and one the next side larger and scalloped out of Gold Foil. I took a piece of the Simply Elegant Trim that was about 20” long and wrapped it around a couple times and attached it to the back of the Gold Foil scalloped circle (see photo). I then added one of my Evening Evergreen circles to the back to cover the trim. I added the other circle to the front of the Gold Foil scalloped Circle and centered my label with my sentiment on that. This becomes our latch when we attach it using Dimensionals on the left side only so the little flap can slip under it and latch. I did add one more element which is the little leaves which are one of the dies in the bundle that I die cut from Gold Foil and tucked up under my latch. For my final addition I did add a single stripe of Gold Foil to the inside of the card that measured ½ x 5 ¼” just to add a little interest. I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it. As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below. The new Eden’s Garden Collection is now available for purchase. This collection includes early-release products from the January–June 2022 Mini Catalog. I used most of the new products to make this beautiful Hello card.
Hello & welcome again my friends, I trust you all had a relaxing Christmas and wishing you a very happy and safe New Year. The new year means a new Stampin’ Up! catalogue and free Sale-a-bration products which commence on 4th January. With every $90 order from the annual and /or Mini catalogue you can choose a free product from the Sale-a-bration brochure and there are some fantastic products to choose from. Please contact me if you would like any further information. This pretty card uses the Dahlia Days Bundle (#157802) which consists of the Dahlia Days stamp set (#157799) and the Detailed Dahlias Dies (#157801). I adhered the Adhesive Sheets (#152334) to the back of the Basic White card stock (#159228), then cut this with the larger detailed die from the Detailed Dahlias Dies. This was adhered to the So Saffron card (#108611) which was attached to the Basic White base card. All the stamped images are from the Dahlia Days stamp set. The inks used are Balmy Blue (#147105), Flirty Flamingo (#147052), Fresh Freesia (#155611), Pale Papaya (#155670) and Pear Pizzaz (#147104). The flowers, leaves and label were also cut with Dahlia Days Dies. The leaves were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and the flowers and the label were attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The pretty Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#158130) were added to the centre of the flowers and the label. I added shimmer to the stamped images with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). Tip: Adhesive sheets are great for detailed die cuts. Just adhere the Adhesive sheets to the back of the card before cutting and it makes it so easy to attach the die cut to the card. “Love what you do and share what you love.” lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]

Hello stampin’ friends, The Eden’s Garden stamp set (#157823) and the co-ordinating Eden Dies (#157831) have been used for this card. The leafy image was stamped with Soft Succulent ink (#155778). The circles were cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies (#159183). Evening Evergreen card (#155575) was used for the larger circle. The DSP is from the Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper (#159535). I cut the leaves and the leaf border from the Brushed Metallic 12”x12” Cardstock (#153524) using the Eden Dies. The DSP and gold border were attached to the Basic White card front (#159228), then matted with Evening Evergreen card. The circles were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The small die cut leaves had Adhesive Sheet (#152334) adhered to the back before cutting. These adhesive sheets make it so easy to adhere the more detailed die cuts to the card. “Happy Birthday” from Celebrating You stamp set (#158028) was stamped with Evening Evergreen ink (#155576), then cut with a Meadow Die (#155852). Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to attach the sentiment. “Love what you do and share what you love.” lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]
