Wow it has been a really LONG time since I've shared a card with you on here! I just haven't had ANY mojo for cards lately though, ugh. Luckily for me, there's a great card sketch over at Artful Delight this month that inspired me! Heart-to-Heart Punch; We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper I created a DT layout yesterday (which goes live on the 30th!) and when I was done I made some super cute embellishments with all of the tiny leftover scraps... It only took me about 15 minutes to make these 10 embellishments and now I can just pop one on a project at any time. It rocks! I'm planning on doing this from now on because it saves me time plus uses up my scraps (which is always a good thing because I have WAY too many). ;) What do you do with your scraps?? This pack of 5 embellishments was handmade by me. They are made with the "farmhouse" theme paper pack by The Paper Studio brand. They are embellished with banners, butterflies, hearts, enamel dots, and small word phrases. They pair nicely with any farmhouse theme of paper that you may have. They can be used for scrapbooking, card making, on your planner, or even as gift tags! The size of these embellishments ranges from about 4 inches to about 1 inch. These pictures worked perfectly with the bright bold reds and yellows and even though these pictures were taken last fall they remind me of the last few hot summer days left before the flowers disappear again until spring. One little trick I love to use on my pages is taking my small circle punch and punching a half circle on the edge to hold my twine in place. I used to use this technique all of the time and had forgotten about it! I love rediscovering these things that just add a bit to a page. I cut up some sticker borders to create this custom banner.

My niece and I spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon making embellishments for cards. We used leftover bits and pieces from my scrap bins. We also tried a different technique -- emboss resist! (You can find a tutorial for that here.) Here are some great ideas for making your own embellishments for your scrapbooking pages. Adding your own embellishments to compliment your page is very satisfying and adds your own special touch to you layouts. Also saves you some money you could spend on other nice goodies for your stash. Hope you enjoy these ideas and make some of them for your pages.

Welcome to "Forgeries on the Fourth" where it is no crime to create your own version of the trendy, hip products from the inspiration kit using your own stash and ingenuity. Each month on the fourth, check out tutorials from your Master Forgers or links to resources they have found for you on the internet. Have you seen the "kit" to copy this month? Well, actually it's not a kit, but several yummy Basic Grey collection packs! It is so hard to choose which one to copy and I'm not gonna lie...I have a feeling I may be purchasing one or two of these in addition to counterfeiting them! (But that will be our little secret!) Since these are exclusively paper kits, Bethany advised us to "go rogue" with the embellishments...meaning add in whatever your little heart desires. So, even though we don't have something exact to mimic, we thought we would provide you with some links to basic embellies you can make yourself that coordinate with each one of the collections. Of course, the kit you create may not be an exact replica, but these tutorials are versatile enough to give you some inspiration to create one or two handmade embellies for your kit. Let's take a look at what the Master Forgers have gathered up for you! EXTRA CHALLENGE - PRIZE ALERT! We know you love the tutorials based on the feedback we received from our recent poll.
