Artist Sarah K. Benning had the opportunity to create a series of embroidered illustrations for the Washington Post. Here's how she got that gig.
This is a pattern TEMPLATE for the design shown above. It is for hand embroidery, and is NOT suitable for machine embroidery. You will not receive any physical products as this is a DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY. You will receive a downloadable A4 sized PDF file for this pattern. It comes with patterns scaled to fit 3", 4", 5", 6", 7" and 8" hoops. It is up to you to choose which size hoop best suits the design you choose (tip: designs with lots of small details are usually better suited to larger hoops). You will need access to a printer to print your PDF pattern, and then you can transfer it to your fabric with an embroidery suitable pen or pencil. You will also receive a basic embroidery guide for beginners, however, please be aware this is a short and general guide and it does not contain any directions for this specific design. It is up to your imagination to decide which type of stitches and style to use. This type of design is suitable for so many fun DIY projects. Clothing, cushions, pillowcases, tea towels, or just display it in your original hoop on a little stand, or hang it on the wall! It would make the perfect gift for a cat lover birthday, or a special gift for any cat lady or cat man during the holidays. This purchase is for personal use only.
