Car les enfants et les lycéens ne s'y retrouvent pas dans les livres récents, qui comportent souvent trop d'images, d'informations en tous sens, d'effets de calligraphies "originales". (Pourtant j'y découvre souvent, sous l'oeil étonné de l'élève, des précisions utiles... mais noyées dans un amas de couleurs et de pictogrammes...!) Ces manuels "modernes" sont finalement tellement peu pratiques qu'ils sont très rarement utilisés dans l'ordre des leçons par les professeurs ; ce qui se comprend, mais ajoute au chaos dans lequel les élèves (et les parents) ont du mal à se retrouver. Plus l'élève a de difficultés, plus est perdu, et plus il a besoin d'informations claires et nettes. La méthode "Imagine you're English" est parfaite dans ce but. Elle permet d'assimiler une à une les informations grammaticales : par la pratique et par leur visualisation claire sous forme de tableaux). Elle apporte en même temps et progressivement le vocabulaire nécessaire Et surtout elle consolide au fur et à mesure ce qui est acquis. Donc mon commentaire rejoint celui des 2 autres utilisateurs : si vous arrivez à vous procurer l'un des exemplaires de cette méthode, faites-le. C'est une mine d'or ! Et tant pis si le niveau du livre déniché n'est pas celui que vous cherchiez précisément : les bases nécessaires sont déjà dans le livre des 6e. Le livre des 5e les reprend avec quelques précisions et des enrichissements (en variant les situations), celui de 4e reprend les notions de 6e et 5e enrichies et ainsi de suite.) PS : Je remarque souvent que les erreurs fréquentes des élèves de 3e ou de seconde en difficulté en anglais auraient pu être évitées s'ils avaient pu assimiler le contenu ...au choix : du livre de 6e ou/et de 5e de cette méthode, et s'ils avaient appris dès le début leurs verbes irréguliers ! Avec cette méthode, l'anglais devient nettement plus simple.
