The Czarna Mgielka (pronounced Charna Miewlka) SM Bra by Ewa Michalak, previously known as the Ewa Michalak Black Mist Bra, is an unpadded plunge bra with a lower bridge ideal for deep-cut neckline. It lifts the bust giving it a rounded shape with a subtly marked peak, which adds a little lightness to your silhouette. Sexy, sheer and supportive, this is the little black dress of bras! The Czarna Mgeilka is a beautiful, rounded balconette with great side support and lift. Shorter side wires make this bra a fantastic option for women with a short torso, that may experience wire digging into their armpits. As with most Ewa Michalak styles, although we love them for all sizes, they work particularly well for women with a smaller frame and bigger cup size. Don't let the sheer mesh fool you, this bra is supportive all the way up to a K cup. Read our review of the Czarna Mgeilka bra on The Bra Fitter Blog here. Our Fit Advice The Czarna Mgielka SM Bra runs true to Ewa Michalak sizing, firm in the back and modest in the cup. We recommend sizing up in both if you're new to Ewa Michalak bras, IE: your usual size: 10GG, your Czarna Mgeilka size: 12H.
Ewa Juszkiewicz subverts the traditional notion of female portrait sitters as passive, simple subjects in her subtly unusual oil paintings. The artist constructs each painted portrait using familiar tropes from European art history, sometimes even citing specific paintings as inspiration. Female subjects with smooth, pale skin and luxurious apparel are placed in front of abstract or generically bucolic settings, sometimes with a “gender-appropriate” item in hand, like a paintbrush, small book, or feather. But in place of the beautiful face a viewer would expect in the center of these pleasant trappings, Juszkiewicz has turned the subject’s head 180 degrees to show an elaborate hairstyle, or filled the face with unruly plants or ribbons. I'm currently smitten with Swedish-born actress Ewa Aulin, who is best known for playing the title role in the 1968 psychedelic sex comedy, Candy. (If you're lucky enough to get your hands on a copy of this movie, do watch it!) During the 1960s and early 1970s, she also appeared in a handful of Italian horror films that I have yet to see. What a doll!
