Hello, I'm back with another card for the Saturated Canary Creative Team. The gorgeous image on my card is THE SEASONS, SPRINGTIME II. Isn't she just beautiful! I love her ♥♥ This time, I printed the
I had a free day to myself yesterday, so I played with this wonderful Wplus9 Quilt Prints stamp set. Using my Hero Arts mid-tone inks, I first stamped the "stitched" outline in Charcoal, then filled in the "fabrics" with Green Hills, Butter Bar, and Bubble Gum. After trimming my panel to fit my card base, I ran it through a Cuttlebug Houndstooth embossing folder to give it that dimpled look that real quilts have after being washed many times. Then using some rose cardstock and BoBunny Passion Fruit dotted papers, I die-cut 2 each of the 3 sizes of PTI's Beautiful Blooms II flowers, securing them with a little yellow Basic Grey brad. My leaf dies are from Wplus9's Folk Art Florals die set, and the sentiment comes from an old clear set, an Archiver's/Hero Arts exclusive. Love this new quilt set - I hope that Wplus9 continues to offer us more in the same style!

Sad news today. . .Stampin' Up! are discontinuing the Simply Adorned line as of the end of this month. If you love these little trinkets, charms and baubles then you need to get in and purchase them as soon as possible. They will not be replenished if they are sold out before 31 March. The Simply Adorned trinkets can be found on page 7 of the Summer Mini. They are stunning in real life and are great little add ons for any special occasion card or scrap page. They are also great jewellery accessories - jewellery grade nickle and hard wearing. Check out one of my creations using the 1.6cm square charm. Once again using the Fabulous Florets stamp set and words from the Sale-a-Brations Elementary Elegance set. They are beautiful in their own right and quite versatile. Hip love Shanni

JustRite has a boatload of new sets being released! One is more fabulous than the next, and I am so excited to share them with you over the next couple of weeks! This first set is such a beautiful set, called With Sympathy. It is a set that we hate to break out, but is so necessary to help ease the loss of a loved one. It is tastefully done and the artwork is gorgeous. I colored this rose with my Copic Markers and cut it out using Spellbinder's Nested Medallion die . I sprayed the entire image with Goosebumpz and inked the edges in brown. The Goosebumpz leaves clear rain drops on the image and dries quickly! You can see it a bit closer here. The sentiment was stamped on vellum with black Staz On ink. I cut the strip and added a pearl to hide my adhesive underneath. I added seam binding, twine, vintage lace, and a few pearls to finish it off. Here is a peek at the set in its entirety. And a bit of info for ya! You can pre-order the 2012 catalog here!! The 2011 Catalog is now 50% off on our website and you can purchase it here. JustRite needs to make room in their warehouse for their 2012 CHA Release which is 21 New Cling and Clear stamp sets with 2 New Custom Dies. So they are having a $10 Retirement Sale to retire all our JustRite Original 1 5/8" stamps and 2" stamps! Be sure to visit the rest of the DT blogs to see their beautiful work with this set! Zva Creative and the Design Team welcomes you to join us this month for a blog hop that we feel is always extra special! There is now an added twist to our blog hops; as you know, Zva offers so many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. We want to make sure that they shine bright for you, so each designer was asked to share a creation using a specific color or color combination on their blog hop project. The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog. She will have the complete list of all blogs that are participating in case there is a glitch along the way. If you would like to play along, just follow along the blog path. I am linking to one of the Zva designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on. Be prepared to be inspired along the...

Good morning and welcome back to Papertrey Ink's 10th Anniversary stroll down memory lane! This morning a handful of us are revisiting some of our favorite sets from 2010. I chose to create with Beautiful Blooms II today. This set proves that some sequels absolutely can live up to the original - at least when it comes to stamps. I've always loved the unique shapes and variety of sizes in this set, perfect for building both backgrounds and focal points. And who can resist a polka dotted flower? Not me! I began my card today by using the largest flower center to create a giant polka dot pattern on a scalloped Aqua Mist card base (I used the Noted: Scalloped A2 Die Collection to cut the base). Then, I used a partial die cutting technique to cut a Fresh Snow Linen panel with the Thick & Thin: Hello die. I stamped the sentiment from Keep It Simple: Encouragement in Smokey Shadow ink on the panel below the die cut sentiment. Then I stamped a few of the flowers and leaves using sponging to add depth and dimension without bulk. I adhered the "hello" panel to the card base using coaster to give it a bit of dimension and tucked a large die cut flower behind the panel. I added the center scalloped flower and pink five-petal flower with foam tape and then embellished with a handful of clear sequins from the Sunshine & Rainbows Make It Market Mini Kit. I love those sequins so much! Isn't this card just so cheerful? I even know exactly who I'm sending it to. I've always loved the dies for this set. The unique shape is perfect for felt projects! Here are a couple of my favorites: Click here for the original blog post Here's a coin purse I made awhile back that I absolutely love. I paired the flowers with the Doodlie Do Die Collection and the Buttoned Up #2 Die to round out the project. Click here for the original blog post And I made these barrettes for my niece a couple of years ago. She finally has enough hair to be able to pull them off! I packaged them in a gable box that I created from clear cardstock. Holy cute, Batman! Now that I have showcased how this product from the past has remained a classic, it's your turn to share your ideas for the future! Stop by Nichole's blog to share a new project you make with this product, or just share a creation that is somehow inspired by what I made today. Get crafting and enter today so you can be eligible for a fantastic prize! Thank you so much for joining me today!
Hi everybody! I've now jumped in the bandwagon and purchased a couple of digital stamps. There are so many cute and lovely images that I couldn't resist :) One of the few images I have purchased is this lovely Summer Fairy from Wee Stamps. When I had it printed in laser, I was so excited to color it :) I loved how it turned up :) And how appropriate since it's summer here in the Philippines :) Summer Fairy Materials: Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned Papers: Pebbles Inc & Basic Grey; Rhinestones: Prima; Flowers: iamroses; Stickles, Glossy Accents; Liquid Pearl; pearl strings, twine, pompom ribbon Stamping: Wee Digital Stamp - Summer Fairy; Xpress It Blending Card; Copic Markers Tools: dooHickey from Magnolia, Memory Box and Simon Says Stamp dies It's so cool that this fairy is wearing a cheongsam (a traditional Chinese dress). I applied some Glossy Accents on her flowers and some Stickles in her wings. I was inspired by these colors from Design Seeds: Thank you so much for dropping by :)
Good afternoon lovely people! Well I have not long been back from a jaunt out with the dog. I have no idea what possessed me to walk for just under 2 hours! In the end she was just dragging me along but we made it! She is now tucked up fast asleep and my legs feel like lead! So I'm sticking to crafting for the rest of the day especially as it is raining! There is a new challenge today over at Saturated Canary and we have the fabulous theme of EMERALD. Here is my card this time.... I used some papers from my stash including this glitter green sheet which is just bling-a-licious! My sentiment frame is Tim Holtz which has been frantaged and my flowers are WOC. My stunning butterfly is from Kays with the rest from my stash. This is beautiful Princess Honor, she has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have used stempelglede stamps around the edge and some shabby blue frantage. I have also used picket fence crackle paint on everything! Do check out the stunners made by the rest of the team! I am entering this into.. Craft your passion floral delights, Kaboodle doodles for the ladies, Papertake weekly anything goes, Creative card crew bling, Simon says stamp things with wings and ABC M is for make it sparkle Thanks a million for coming by my blog friends. Big hugs
