Inspired by the Empire period, Bernardaud's Constance dinnerware is piled with gold-flecked acorn and oak leaves symbolizing strength and longevity. A laurel vine with touches of burgundy and sage adds depth and richness to timeless Limoges porcelain. Limoges porcelain Hand wash Made in France Web ID: 173096
Update: There are 4 total plates available right now. This listing is for a rare vintage pattern made by Edelstein. This Bavarian china is called "Empire" and has a stunning gilt gold and white design along a scalloped edge. The 10.25 inch plates are in excellent used condition. They have no cracks, chips or crazing. There is one plate that has a few light scuffs on one side(see picture) that I cannot get off. I am adjusting the price on that set but it is still a great usable plate and the mark is very faint. I am not sure exactly when this pattern was produced. According to the stamp on the back, I believe they were made sometime before 1972. The plates are sold in sets of 2 and I have 3 sets(6 dinner plates) in total. There are salad and bread plates listed separately. I will combine shipping for multiple orders and refund for any overages. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Please reach out to me if you would like to know a more specific shipping cost. I use UPS for almost all of my shipping and can usually get a better rate than what is quoted with USPS. If you like vintage then take a look at my Etsy shop in the following link and follow along on my Instagram account @whiteelephantrefined. https://etsy.me/3kppPcS I do look for competitive shipping rates and will refund for shipping overages. Please message me if this will be a local purchase. I do take great care in wrapping your purchases so that they arrive safely. Items in pictures that are not described in the listing are listed separately or are not for sale. Please know that most items are vintage/used and that they may have slight imperfections due to age. I try my best to describe items and show pictures to the best of my ability. All sales are final and there are no refunds. Thank you for visiting White Elephant Refined.

Bright gilt edge around the lip of the cup and surrounding the top and bottom of the foot, and repeated around the edge of the saucer. The handle is further decorated with gilt lines. Condition is excellent and the cup has a resounding ring when tapped. Marked by Royal Albert to the base. I hope you had a lovely autumn weekend. The weather has been amazing here and this week is looking sunny and warm as well. We have tours everyday but one for the next couple of weeks so I am hoping this weather continues. Anyway, it is tea time now so lets enjoy a fresh biscuit and tea on this warm sunny day. The teapot and teacup are from the Edwardian collection made in England. I bought them in an antique mall in Mt. Dora Florida. There are still a few roses blooming in our garden but soon we will have a hard frost and that will be it until next year. This charming teacup with an all natural beeswax candle was a gift from my friend Snow and her daughter Harmonie who makes them and has them for sale at Parasaska's Place if you would like one too. They are a healthy choice as there are no chemicals added and they look so pretty as well. I wish you a beautiful week and thank you for visiting me. Today, I am joining Rose Chintz Cottage for Tea Time Tuesday. Carolyn

Welcome April! It is so nice to welcome in April with a day warm enough to do some garden cleanup as our snow is pretty much all gone. I also woke up to the sound of birds chirping away in the garden....always makes me happy! I thought I would change my display of china on the table where I have my afternoon tea. I love this antique china but haven't shared it for awhile so I thought you might enjoy seeing it too! I bought these locally at antique shops and although they are different patterns they are similar soft color tones. Mix and match One of my favorite tea time spots until it is warm enough to enjoy tea in the garden. I love this platter that I bought at Timeworn Treasures and Antiques last year. I hope you have a great weekend and thank you for your visits and lovely comments. Take care, Carolyn

"I feel so intensely the delights of shutting oneself up in a little world of one's own, with pictures and music and everything beautiful." ~Virginia Woolf My Mother has always loved china. She collected little English pieces of fine bone china when I was a very little girl. I remember when she first discovered French china and then Prussian, Austrian, and Bavarian. She loved them instantly and they became something that she treasure hunted for in flea markets and antique stores. Her china collection is a part of my childhood and something that will always make me think of her. As I grew up I wanted to have my own collection and together we oohed and aaahed at shows and markets when we found a particularly pretty piece. I loved it the first time my Mum said we were rescuing these pretty pieces - that they were special because many of them came from places that don't exist anymore such as Prussia which hasn't existed since the 1940's! I wanted to show you a little bit of our combined china collections. As I was photographing some of my own pieces I realized that the ones that mean the most to me, that are my very favourites, are the ones my Mum gave to me. I believe that I will always look at beautiful china filled with pink roses and little loops of gold and think first before anything else of my Mother.
