Das spanische Gänseblümchen präsentiert vom Frühjahr bis zum ersten Frost einen ansehnlichen Blütenflor in Weiß-Rosa. Einer umfangreichen Pflege bedarf es dabei nicht, denn dieser genügsamen Gartenzierde reicht lediglich ein sonniges Plätzchen, um in Beet, Kasten und Kübel ihre schöne Pracht zu entfalten. Erigeron karvinskianus Wuchs, Blatt & Blüte Ab Anfang Mai erblüht das Spanische Sommer-Gänseblümchen zunächst in kräftigen bis sanften Rosatönen und wechselt dann ihre Farbe hin zu einem strahlenden Weiß. Dabei werden die für Gänseblümchen typischen Korbblüten auch hier von einer gelben Mitte geziert. Bienen und Schmetterlinge lieben diese Blüten, denn sie dienen ihnen als wertvolle Nahrungsquelle. Mit einer extrem langen Blütezeit bis in den September hinein begleitet Sie dieser Dauerblüher farbenfroh durch den Sommer. Die Basis für das farbenfrohe Blütenspektakel bilden die kleinen ovalen, leicht behaarten Laubblätter. Sie werden bis zu 4 cm lang und untermalen die zarte Blüte in einem eleganten Grau-Grün. Mit ihrem buschigen und verzweigten Wuchs bildet die Sommerschönheit schnell einen dichten Blütenteppich. Dabei erreicht sie eine Wuchshöhe von 20 bis 30 cm. Zart in der Farbe aber dafür umso ausdauernder – so ist das Spanische Sommer-Gänseblümchen ein wunderschöner Blühpartner für farbstarke Nachbarn wie z.B. Zauberglöckchen. Ein Balkonkasten ist mit etwa 5 Pflanzen pro Meter ideal bestückt. Ansprüche & Pflege Das Spanische Gänseblümchen gedeiht an vollsonnigen Plätzen besonders gut, im Halbschatten fühlt es sich jedoch auch noch wohl. Ansonsten zeigt es sich bei der Wahl eines passenden Standorts flexibel. Es gedeiht in Steingärten, an Mauern und Wegrändern ebenso schön wie in Hängeampeln und Kübeln. Bei der Pflanzung empfehlen sich etwa 20–30 cm Abstand zwischen den Pflanzen. Auch bei vollsonnigen Standorten benötigt es nur wenig Wasser und ist gut trockenheitsverträglich. Es sollte aber regelmäßig gegossen werden. Ein Ausknipsen bzw. Zurückschneiden von Verblühtem belohnt es mit einer prächtigen Nachblühte. Das Spanische Sommer-Gänseblümchen ist frostempfindlich und daher bei uns einjährig, kann aber im Haus überwintert werden. Der ideale Zeitraum zur Pflanzung ist ab Anfang Mai, wenn die letzten Nachtfröste vorüber sind. Wussten Sie eigentlich…?
