With a vintage feel that boasts intricate details, the Evangeline Hand-Knotted Wool Rug adds the calming feel of green, tan and black tones to your space. Soft underfoot and hand-knotted from 100% wool, the rug is both durable and elegant in a design that grounds the room. DETAILS • Material: Wool • Material Explanation: Wool is an all-natural fiber made from the protective coats of sheep. Rugs made from wool are durable, yet soft and luxurious underfoot. Wool offers natural stain resistance, making these rugs easy to clean. Some shedding is to be expected but will decrease over time. • Construction: Hand-Knotted • Construction Explanation: A hand-knotted rug is made on a large loom where a master weaver carefully and intricately ties each knot by hand, making an incredibly durable rug. The more knots per square inch delivers a more defined pattern and enhanced durability. Hand-knotted rugs do not have a backing and can last for years if cared for properly. Because they are crafted by artisans, no two hand-knotted rugs are alike. • Color Description: Neutral tones with forest green, tan, and black accents. ADDITIONAL DETAILS • Pile Height: 2-3 mm

This airy creative space demonstrates great use of space for multipurpose needs of a busy family. Sometimes a home needs a room to be multifunctional. One bonus space that works as an at-home office, kids' creative area, hang-out space, etc. With elementary and middle school-aged kids, this family was needing less toy storage and more desk space for projects and games as well as floor space for wrestling, lounging, movie watching, video gaming, sleepovers, and dance parties. My first priority in
This summer and fall I've been busy with a few projects, here are a few before and after shots of a bonus room I worked on. Enjoy:-) Before Picture The layout needed a little TLC, new paint, a youthful theme for the 3 children using this space. We moved out the bed, got a sleeper sectional and created a space for homework and games near the window. The room was dark from all the foliage outside so we needed to solve that problem. We took off all the shutters to let all the natural light in that we could and added window treatments with black-out shades/lining, so when it's movie time, the lighting won't be a problem. We added a window seat cushion and pillows to create a cozy nook for homework or snacks. The blue shade comes down behind the valance to block out light for TV viewing. Before-The iron bed was placed up against the angled wall. The angled wall was challenging and made the room look smaller. We framed out the small wall with molding and painted with chalkboard paint (attic door included) for a giant space the kids to say what they want! Here you can see the chalkboard in action. Very fun for the kids. We painted the attic door with chalkboard paint as well, so the door "vanishes". This wall had lots of clutter, an older over sized TV and those shutters that blocked out a lot of light. We put up beautiful black out drapes and eventually the TV got moved out, a flat screen is now opposite the sofa. Part Two coming soon: Teen room turns from pretty in pink to perfect in periwinkle!
