When the note is a passive-aggressive complaint about something petty, the urge to give an appropriately hilarious response or make an office prank out of it must be downright irresistible!

I had never heard of Senglea, Malta before my visit there last week. We were on Airbnb looking for places to stay and we ran across this amazing apartment, in a beautiful location, and at a great price. The apartment was beyond our expectations (you can see the apartment HERE) and the neighborhood was perfect. Senglea is the smallest of the Three Cities in the Cottonera. It is situated on a peninsula protruding into the Grand Harbor, facing the charming walled city of Valletta. One of the most beautiful places in Senglea is the waterfront. We left our new temporary home, making our way down the maze of streets until we reached this beautiful harbor, a mirage of beauty and serenity. We watched as one of Malta's traditional fishing boats glided into a spot near where we were standing and watched three delighted tours disembarked. I think it was at this moment that I fell in love with Malta. Like most of Malta, the city is a labyrinth of ancient brick streets making you feel like you are not only in another country, but another century. It is a photographers dream and the residents of Senglea are so friendly that you feel like you have known them for years. In Senglea, you will see little dishes of cat food set out everywhere. The cat in the photo above hangs out at the door of this little supermarket. Every time we walked by, he was there. The gentleman inside said he has three that hangs around his shop and six cats at home. This area of Senglea is called Gardiola Gardens. It was a beautiful area but there were no gardens when we were there. Still, you don't want to miss the view from this vantage point. You almost have a 360 degree view of the Grand Harbour, Valletta and the Three Cities.
