This sponge holder is both beautifully wheel thrown and fully functional in its unique design. It helps prevent bacteria by lifting the sponge up, tilting it, and allowing the excess water to drain out into your sink instead of keeping the bacteria trapped in your sponge. Cute, clean, and handcrafted; it's a must have for your counter! This new design also comes with optional suction cups so you can be worry free about this beautiful piece falling from the ledge. Dimensions: 5.5" x 2.5" This piece is dishwasher safe. SUCTION CUPS Suction cups are intended for ‘optional’ use. I included them in my designs because not everyones surface is the same, and these are a great option to cover most, if not all, surfaces. The suction cups are intended to give you a sense of ease by adding a little more security. The legs of the suction cups may not be the full length of the lift bar but that is ok. The legs only need to catch the lift bar in order for the suction cups to properly do their job. Please note that these do not come permanently attached to the piece. I personally prefer to have the option of easily removing them for washing purposes. However, if you decide you want them permanently attached to your piece, you can simply glue them on. I would recommend using e6000 which works great on ceramic ware. UNIQUENESS Slight imperfections are a part of handmade pottery and add character to the piece. All of my pieces are personally handcrafted and wheel thrown by me (Mandy). There are no molds or slip casts ever used. I utilize a variety of firing types in order to achieve the 'kiln magic' that makes each piece unique. During this firing process, the glazes may take on slight variations, but you will find them to be nearly identical to what is shown in the photographs. Best of all, this means any product you purchase will be a unique, one-of-a-kind piece that can not be found anywhere else! *In effort to be environmentally conscious, you will find my packaging to be all eco-friendly.

The sculptures of Israeli ceramicist Ronit Baranga flirt with the boundary between desire and repulsion. Baranga sculpts delicate lips and sensual fingertips, planting these tools of seduction in places where we least expect to find them. Plates and bowls grow mouths ready to lick and kiss. Caressing hands multiply until they turn into mutant, plant-like growths. These sensual features begin to seem invasive and frightening when stripped of their humanity and presented as inanimate objects. Take a look at some of Ronit Baranga's sculptures after the jump, images courtesy of the artist.

Brotes Table Lamp by Camila Apaez Unique Materials: Stoneware Dimensions: W 15 x D 22 x H 34 cm Ila Ceramica emerged from a process of inner inquiry where ceramics became a space for presence, silence, touch and patience. Camila discovered the shapes that inhabit her in an organic and intuitive manner, leading her to continuous research and development of material, processes, and also herself. What began as a silent personal journey, has turned into a place where poetry, nature and corporeal silhouettes meet as constant themes in Ila´s creative process. The conversations between the pottery wheel and manual construction derive into utilitarian and sculptural pieces, hosted in two main lines of work: “Centrifuga”: functional ware for everyday life, and “Manual”: sculptural pieces that, while still functional, highlight their presence and their own dialogue with space, a constant theme for reflection in Ila. Ila Ceramica is a small studio with 100% handcrafted creative processes; glaze and clay research is slow and thorough, and no casts are used. Although pieces can be made Based Upon previous designs, each piece has its own personality.
Porcelain Dishwasher and Microwave Safe Made in Japan 2016/ makes contemporary porcelain using the specialist skills found in the pottery town of Arita, Japan. In celebration of 400 years of pottery production in Arita - 2016/ brought together 16 designers from around the world with an array of cultural backgrounds. The designers have re-interpreted classic Arita-ware, harnessing all the craft’s techniques to usher forth a new creative standard that the world will embrace as part of everyday living. Designer: Teruhiro Yanagihara This simple tableware series with its stackable function aspires to become a global standard for everyday dining use. Designer Teruhiro Yanagihara suggested a design concept based on the notion of perfection and imperfection co-existing within beauty, taking his inspiration from the phenomena that invariably occur during the glazing stage of the porcelain manufacturing process. So, based on the belief common in Japan since ancient times that true beauty lies in imperfection, Yanagihara positively embraced any uneven or mottled glazing that would have previously been deemed as defective in Arita, giving this tableware collection its distinctive and beguiling appearance. Dimensions ø 10 1/4" x 2 1/4"
