When this news was announced we immediately knew that our own garage conversion was imminent and at the end of 2020, in the middle of the pandemic mind you, Mario and I decided to convert our garage into a livable space!

With a small footprint and placement near a pool, it was a design challenge to create a flexible, light-filled guest suite. They also hoped to preserve its charming original terracotta roof. BOXI’s Salt Slab cabinets fit a compact, clean layout that doesn’t compromise on storage, while floating shelves and an undercounter refrigerator were helpful space-savers.
