Kate McDee - Your bravery scares them. You know what is AMAZING about my job? Yes, I lead these online groups to help people on the health and fitness side. But the more I get into coaching (and I mean, TWO YEARS into it), the more I am SO SO SO thankful for the coaching, learning, and guidance that I HAVE RECEIVED from other coaches!! This coaching world is FAR MORE that fitness and weight loss...it's about becoming a better person allllll around and developing your inner strength and mental toughness (did you see the live video posted about this last night?!) The quote above was posted in a coach training group I am part of - we coaches surround each other and share DAILY amazing personal development content to fill our own buckets so we can fill others'. Your bravery scares them. This REEEEEALLY resonated with me and I think back to a few comments (not many, but a few) I have received over the past couple years. Comments about what I post on FB, what I choose to share publicly, what I am doing for work after I left teaching, etc. Usually, the comments have been sly, sarcastic, and a bit backhanded but I am smart...I get what was being implied. Self-confidence is like a plant and it will grow and grow if you water it daily and keep it alive (which I do, most days through fitness, eating well, and reading). Similarly, it will die if you neglect it (which I also do sometimes π) and then life isn't fun and we shrink up and all the negativity creeps back into our brains until self-doubt takes over and we don't believe in ourselves so we stay in a comfort zone (that really isn't comfortable though because it's actually miserable). Does that make sense? (and that was a huge run-on sentence) Point is...don't take what others say to heart. Your bravery (in whatever you are doing) scares them and that is on them...not you. What do you do DAILY to grow your self-confidence? These are my morning ramblings...apparently when I wake up EARLY (6:00am today) my brain in ON!!!! #headofkate #feelingalive #mindfood
