The Flatwoods Monster was an alien that was sighted on September 12, 1952 in Flatwoods, West Virginia, USA. The monster is a 3 meters tall, quasi-humanoid beast with a glowing red face surrounded by a strange hood-like structure. It makes hissing vocalizations and is also capable of gliding. Some descriptions mention it having no arms, while others did mention arms. It is a cryptid, and believed to be extraterrestrial in origin, as a bright UFO was sighted landing on the forest in the same night
