The Curse of the King and Gilgamesh's Survival
This task is the perfect learning activity that helps children develop analytical and arithmetic skills. When completing the task, children should fill in the missing cells, having previously identified the pattern of one and two-digit numbers. Trying to find the pattern, children will discover that they need to practice their addition and subtraction skills, generate their hypotheses, test and confirm them. Explain to the children that in each line the pattern is different, so to conclude the task they should use logic and be very attentive with finding out the transparency of numbers. These pages can be used as a whole assignment, extra practice for the addition and subtraction of two-digit number, or as a test. This material is adapted for color and black and white printing Approximate school grade in the USA: 4th, 5th, grades. Age range: 9-11 years

I am always on the quest for new and interesting books to share with my students and last year I happened across Eight Keys by Suzanne LaFleur. My students loved it, and I knew it was going to be one of my “go to” books from that point forward. From bullying…to “coming of age”…to friendship […]
These printables are for third and fourth-graders to practice adding, subtracting, and comparing numbers. Adding, subtracting, and comparing numbers form the basis of various math problems. By mastering these skills, students improve their number sense and recognize relationships between numbers easier. There are several tasks on each page. Children need to add or subtract numbers in columns and compare the answers by putting the correct sign: “,” or “=.” How do we compare numbers? First, we need to compare the digits with the greatest place value, for example, hundreds or tens. If these digits are equal, we continue comparing the digits of the least value, for example, ones. Let's compare 38 and 54. First, we find the digits of the greatest value. These are 3 and 5, which represent tens. We know that 5 is greater than 3, so 54 is greater than 38. We put the sign: 38< 54. If there are numbers 48 and 42, we find that the digits representing tens are equal. In this case, we continue comparing the other digits, which are 8 and 2. We know that 2 is less than 8, so 42 is less than 48. To show the difference, we write the sign: 26>29. Use this instruction to find the answers. Welcome to our Fractions Worksheets! This set of handy math worksheets will help third and fourth graders master a basic understanding of fractions in a short time. What is a fraction? It is a tiny part of something. When we break something into parts, the fraction shows how many of those parts we have. The fraction consists of two numbers separated by a line. The number of equal parts is called the numerator, and the number of parts in the whole is the denominator. Thus, if we split a pizza into 4 parts and eat 3 pieces, we can represent it as 1/4. Number 1 shows how many pieces of pizza have remained, and 4 is the total number of pieces. Fractions are widely used in everyday life. We apply this concept when checking a recipe, splitting a bill, or calculating discounted prices in stores. How do these worksheets benefit kids' education? Using shaded parts is one of the easiest ways to explain this significant concept. Students can simply count the shaded areas and write the fractions representing the picture. The worksheets will be perfect for exploring fractions in classes of self-practicing at home. They are suitable for black-and-white printers and are easy to download, print and use. We have prepared a variety of interactive practice options for exploring fractions. Find them on our website and keep on practicing with us every day!
