I like the classic look of an all white bed in any season. Nothing can outshine the beauty of fresh white vintage linens. I first showed the master bedroom dressed in white for winter. But the whole mood and look of a bedroom can be altered with just a change of a bed cover. And a few perky details. Here was the master bedroom of spring. I was going for a more elegant tone when I used this embroidered cover in neutrals. A simple woven lampshade at the bedside table worked well for that mood. But what I really like is the vintage glass base. I think I am somewhat "lampshade challenged" because I have the hardest time finding a shade that I like that actually fits. It's an ongoing quest since I almost never buy a new lamp with a shade. I always prefer vintage, and the shade you get, if at all, is a crap shoot. Or just plain cr*p! My summer solution is a very simple one. I draped a plain shade with a large crocheted doily. Easy to change for yet a different look when the mood strikes me, as it always does. And fancier than the plain white shade which wasn't quite holding it's own. A vintage tissue holder brings in a bit more "frou" for a time too. Dotted Swiss chiffon and lace. Some older season mix and matched cottage prints by RL keep things casual for now. Rachel and Ralph blend well for a cheery mix, don't you think?. As the season changes, I'll want more of a change too. Good thing it's so easy to do! Does your bedroom change much with the season? I can feel one coming on again already! Back to school week for a lot of us. I hope it's a good one for you! Sorry ya'll!!! I am late on posting the newest Home Sweet Home Tour due to the busyness in life, I have been working in the kitchen doing my canning all weekend. So without further ado...Meet Kelly. She lives in California with her lil white poodle mix Molly. You are gonna love her little cozy cottage. She has a great eye for cheerful, colorful things. There is color and fun things in every cranny of her space, inside and out. Her place is tiny and full...But sweetly done. I adore her style!!! Makes me smile!!! She definitely is an avid collector of cute and vintage pieces. Cottage yet a bit of farm charm added in. She has a soft spot for roosters and hens...My kind of gal. Her living space continues outside with a covered tent with cozy furniture and decor. A lovely table setting for outdoor melas and a charming patio space filled with flowers, plants and collections. Thanks to Kelly for allowing me to share her cottage with ya'll....I hope you enjoyed the tour! Come back next week for another colorful home!!!!
