This has caused a lot of discussion (Blog comments, not real discussion) about whether this is architecture, art, valid, stupid or whatever, but even if this can't strictly be considered architecture (the argument in most blog-comments is that architecture=buildings, it provides a juxtaposition of the surrounding buildings and thereby offers up a new experience of Bedford Square.

Korean sculptor Young-Deok Seo has been busy since first appearing here back in 2011. The artist has continued working almost exclusively with welded chains reclaimed from bicycles and elsewhere. Seo most recently exhibited at SODA Gallery in Istanbul. A statement from that show: Seo Young Deok’s work aims to reflect the disease-like contamination we experience caused by materials in our society, he hopes to reveal the amount of suffering it places on the modern-day human. An age-old concept, the tree of life is a symbol of the connection between the underworld, the sky and the terrestial world in pre-Columbian cultures. The tree symbolizes life's energy, and the seeds scattered beneath represent the beauty and fragility of new life.. Coral.. A 10-foot high blue sculpture.. South Boeing Gallery.. Tabachin Ribbion.. Yvonne Domenge was born in Mexico City in 1946. She studied plastic arts at the Outremont School in Montreal, Canada, at the Corcoran School of Art, washington D.C., and in Mexico City. Working in materials as diverse as wood, stone, clay, marble, cement, steel, porcelain, silver and resin, Domenge has more than 40 solo shows and participated in nearly 200 group exhibitions across mexico, the United Sy=tates, Canada, Europe, and China, including the Musee dy Louvre in Paris..
About A very neat spin-able sculpture, it will feel like you are on the art wheel of fortune! This is definitely a conversation piece and would make a great stand alone piece, or a centerpiece for a table, circa 1970s-1980s.
