It's getting very close to Summer! It is very exciting. Looking forward to some sun, being outdoors and working in the garden perhaps. April is always a month to celebrate events. My birthday is in April (just turned 40!) and the birth of Hufvud was in April as well. This year, Hufvud, is celebrating 7 years as a business. Wow! That is a long time in my mind. I am not doing anything special for that, other than being thankful and appreciative for the leap of faith that I took all those years ago. The decision to start a business on something that is not the most popular artistic piece of clothing that one can wear was surely a gamble. But look at all those happy customers out there. It's wonderful to speak with those who supported Hufvud all those years ago again. I had a couple of customers who purchased a hat by Hufvud in 2017 return for a new purchase after following the development of the hats over the years. Just fantastic! One can become a craftsman and make a living out of it. It is, however, a very busy lifestyle with a lot of ups and downs and challenges to overcome. But that's what life is like in general anyway, right? To believe in oneself is the first and most important step and I am happy that I did. Thank you Mikael in 2017 for doing this. I am way happier today then what I was back then. Hufvud can only get better over time and so can I. Next week I have more tools coming in! That is something to look forward to. Tools to bring back the Homburgs to Hufvud. I am picky with being able to make a consistent line of sizes and to make the brim proportionately magnificent. The new tools will help with that. Also, it's bringing back an old way of crafting Homburgs back to life. The way it was suppose to be. Later in the summer, there is another tool coming in, which I will not reveal yet. Another exciting year for Hufvud. I am happy that you are being part of the success and the journey of keeping the authentic craft of crafting hats alive. Where some are seeking shortcuts, Hufvud is seeking authenticity. It comes at a price but this is my gift to the world. What the world decides to do with it when I am gone, is not for me to decide. Keep it, maintain it and celebrate it. What a ride it is! Thank you all for your support and orders! Regards, Mikael Einarsson | HUFVUD HATMAKER | Askeröd, Sweden.

It’s like this: The fall season calls for Beef Bourguignon. It just does. This is the easiest one-pot meal you’ve ever seen in your life. Don’t be fooled by the fancy name. I use Ina Garten’s recipe as a base — and it is divine. You cannot possibly mess it up and everyone loves it — your pickiest eater will gobble this down like a piggy. Do the steps like she says. The meat searing, the seasoning of every layer. […]
