Hello and Welcome to the Alaska Achievers Blog Hop. It has been a while since I participated in the hop but I'm so happy to have made time to join many of the other achievers and give you some fun tips on the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set. For our hop in January we are featuring the Sale-a-Bration and Occasion catalogue products. I have chosen to work with Heartfelt Blooms - one of the new Distinktive stamps range and one of the free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets you can choose when you spend $90 in my shop. You might like to view all the free items offered this year - you can ask me for a brochure or view it on-line How are these stamps different to the other Stampin' Up! stamps? Well.... these stamps "lay down the ink at different opacities, giving the finished image more depth". It pays to read the information in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue before even starting with the main stamp in this set or you may end up with a lot of rejects! Don't ask me how I know. This is what happens when the ink pad is too wet. You loose definition. I have a couple of hints for you before you get started. 1. ink the stamp lightly and evenly 2. Check your ink pad is not too wet 3. Stamp quickly and apply pressure to the centre of the stamp with your index fingers Watch the video for a demonstration. Once you have some lovely images there are lots of things you can do with them. Here is another idea. Image stamped in Memento and coloured with a variety of the Light Blends colours. The close up view shows the pixilation and lines that create the realism in the image. For my card, I stamped the image twice - fussy cut the main flower, lightly blended the ink with a Blender Pen then applied a little Wink of Stella. The flower has been raised up on dimensionals. The stamping is done on Whisper White, matted onto Silver Glimmer Paper and then again, matted onto Night of Navy that has been embossed with one of the Petal Pair Embossing Folders from the Occasions Catalogue - see if you can find them on p. 23! To the centre of the daisy, I added a clear Multi Faceted Gem that has been coloured with the Light Night of Navy Blends pen. Sale-A-Bration is a wonderful time to start your journey with Stampin' Up! as there are lots of additional benefits for joining during this promotion. If you live in Australia you can get our amazing Starter Kit where you choose items to the value of $235 from any of our current catalogues. This includes the Annual Catalogue, the Occasions catalogue and the Clearance Rack. During Sale-A-Bration you choose an extra 2 stamp sets to any value, and pay just $169. As an added bonus there is FREE SHIPPING on your Starter Kit plus a Business pack valued at $80. If you have a large order - this is a great opportunity for you. Contact me if you would like further information. There is so much to offer during Sale-A-Bration, and when you combine the free products with items from the Occasions Catalogue, you have unlimited options for creativity. This is the third item I submitted as a Heartfelt Creations Semi-Finalist. My first official Design Team piece is coming up soon! Papers are from 29th Street Market by My Mind's Eye. I stamped the Flirty Fleurs image with colored markers and colored in with chalk. Check it out in my video below! To make the waterfall card, I followed this tutorial. SUPPLIES: STAMP(S) AND INK: Heartfelt Creations Flirty Fleurs. Heartfelt Creations Filler Leaves- unmounted. Colorbox. Versamark. PAPER: My Mind’e Eye 29th Street Market COLORING MEDIUM: Whispers markers by Sugarloaf. Shimmer chalk by Pebbles. TOOLS: Making Memories Tool Kit Deluxe EMBELLISHMENTS: Micron pen. Eyelets. Sewing machine. Twine. Tim Holtz. INSTRUCTIONS: Background: Purple cardstock is 4 1/8” x 5 6/8”. Ink the edges. Using the Filler Leaves stamp, stamp the edges in several places with Versamark ink. Use green chalk on stamped images. Ink the edges of the purple cardstock. Mat and glue to green cardstock. Waterfall: Use purple and green brush tip markers to ink the floral stamp. Stamp onto white cardstock. Color with chalk. Repeat. Use a trimmer to cut four 1 3/4” squares from the two stamped images. Use the Micron pen to draw a border on each piece. Glue the four stamped squares to 2” mats. Next, cut a 2x9” strip from polka dot paper. From one end, score at 2, 2.75, 3.5, and 4.25 inches. Starting at the 2” scored section, carefully glue one of the stamped squares to the solid side of the polka dot cardstock. And the remaining three pieces to the .75”x2” sections. Click HERE for video tutorial on stamping with markers and coloring with chalk. Center the waterfall piece on the card. Do NOT glue. Secure with tape or magnets. Cut a strip from the striped paper and position with magnets. Add a dot of glue on each end. Do NOT glue the entire strip. The piece with the pull on it should move freely under the strip. Glue the stamped section to the top of the strip. Add eyelets to each side. Pull out the pull tab and install an eyelet. Reinsert the pull tab under the striped strip. Machine stitch around the edge of the card. I used a Tim Holtz safety pin, twine, and a Tim Holtz charm to create a pull. Card base: Cut Cut a 9x6 inch piece of thick, white cardstock. I like textured CS for card bases. Score at 4.5. Attach the card front to the base.

Welcome and hope you are enjoying the wonder cards and projects by The Rubber Buggy Design Team. Check out the latest and best products that The Rubber Buggy is selling lately like this gorgeous Stamperia Lilac Flowers paper. The paper had the tags, printed cards and even a gorgeous envelope that could be cut out and used. You better hurry while supplies last and check out the other Stamperia paper pads and products that just came in this month to The Rubber Buggy on-line store. The Criss Cross card is fairly easy to make. I cut out two 6" x 12 " with white cardstock and score at 6". Glue one 6" to the other 6". Cut the front at a 45 degree angle and decorate by cutting two 6" squares of patterned. Take one square for the center of the card. The one 6" will be cut at a 45 degree angle and glue each part to the front of the card. If you google by typing "images of criss cross cards" you will see lots of these cards and a few tutorials to help you. I thought this card was easier to make than my normal cards and plus you made a decorative envelope. If you are giving this to a person by hand, just use tissue paper to cover it up plus a ribbon on top and what a gorgeous card to give to your special person. The border on top of the card is from the Heartfelt Creations Regal Border and Pocket die set. I added the stunning ivory Venise Lace the front of the card. Stamperia Lilac Flowers Paper Pad I cut out the card, butterfly and book marker out of the Stamperia Lilac paper collection and added ribbon and Wild Orchid Roses 10mm. I applied NUVO Glitter Gloss Pen to the butterfly and some of the printed flowers. I made the flower using foamiran foam and Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose die. I used the largest rose die in this set. This card was cut out from the Stamperia Lilac paper collection. Isn't it beautiful with the printed lilacs and pansy. The butterfly was cut out and I applied NUVO Glitter Gloss Pen to the butterfly to make it stand out. Sunflower patterned paper, stamps and dies are the main design element in the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower collection.
Last week’s Card & Cuppa project used the new Pets & More Stamp Set from the Online Exclusives range. Christmas card featuring the Festive Holiday collection by Heartfelt Creations including patterned paper, dies and stamps. Designed by Karan Gerber.
I'm hopping with the Heartfelt Creations Alumni team. Stop by my blog to see this Hello Spring Flowering Dogwood Card & enter the draw for a $25 gift card.
Today is Heartfelt Creations day and I want to share three cards I made using the newly released Celebrate the Season collection. Each card begins with an A2 card base, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" when folded. There are many panels in the paper collection that will fit wonderfully on this card base. By adding sentiment panels and a bit of color you can quickly create a beautiful holiday card. Find the panel with the snowflakes and garden gate. Trim down to 5 1/4" x 4" and mount to the teal A2 card base. Find the light blue snowflake paper, stamp Merry Christmas with Versacolor black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Color the holly with Copic G40 and RV66. Trim and mount onto a teal card stock panel. (Rather than using dimensional foam, I used chipboard behind my sentiment panels. It makes them sturdier and gives a more professional look.) Trim a piece of the mauve snowflake paper down to 5 1/4" x 4" and mount to the white A2 card base. Find the panel with the circle and poinsettias. Trim just outside the mauve border as shown and mount onto white card stock. Using Memento Tuxedo black ink, stamp 2 large poinsettias and 1 small as well as the mittens, then die cut with the coordinating dies. Color the flowers with Copic V12 then crease down the center of each petal with the smallest nib in your Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Pinch the petals together, then stack the flowers as shown. Add gold glitter glue to the flower centers. Color the mittens with Copic V12 and V15, adding Silver Gelly Roll to the snowflake pattern. Adhere the mittens and poinsettia to the card with Art Institute Dries Clear Glue. Trim out the Happy Holidays Ticket, add chipboard to the back and mount to the card. Trim a piece of the blue snowflake paper down to 5 1/4" x 4" and mount to the purple A2 card base. Find the panel with the oval and poinsettias and trim off the outer edge. Mount this to purple card stock then center on the card base. Cut out the Merry Christmas sentiment from the paper collection, mount on purple card stock, add chipboard and mount on the card.
