Scotland is awe-inspiring, powerful, and even spiritual. The country's crumbling ruins interspersed throughout the landscape truly move travelers.
Caressing the wild beauty of Braemar, this enchanting print captures the heather-clad moorlands of Aberdeenshire in a mesmerising flourish of colours, reminiscent of the celebrated Art Nouveau style. As your gaze wanders across the vibrant tapestry of purples and pinks, you'll find yourself transported to a realm where nature's palette is opulent and untamed. Immerse yourself in the undulating swaths of heather that blanket the vast and rolling hills, depicted with a harmonious blend of rich hues that pay homage to the iconic Scottish landscape. Soft clouds adorn the expansive sky, casting shadows that dance upon the moor and the scattered tors, creating a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. This print weaves an intricate lyrical design, where curvilinear forms echo the natural contours of the scenery while capturing the delicate balance between flora and the rugged highland terrain. Each blade of purple heather is tenderly rendered to exude the very essence of Scotland’s wild heart, making it an exquisite addition to our 'Scottish Flowers and Flora' collection. Whether adorning a personal space or adding a touch of natural elegance to a professional setting, this print invokes the serene spirit of the Scottish outdoors, serving as a perennial reminder of the raw beauty that thrives in the highlands.
Pictures of Scotland, the Glen Torridon area...Beinn Eighe Photography of the North West Scottish Highlands, where there are to be found wonderful Landscapes, Mountains and Lochs. Annat, a tiny hamlet, has great views of Liathach and Ben Alligin; Glen Torridon is an especially beautiful drive, and the walk along the side of Loch Clair has spectacular views of Ben Eighe, while scenes across Loch Torridon, especially on the coastal road from Applecross to Shieldaig should not be missed. Inveralligin is very peaceful, and so is Diabaig, reached by yet another steep narrow road! Torridon is in Wester Ross. Scottish Highlands. NC500.

Yesterday I shared some of the myths and legends of heather, so today, I thought I'd plant a few seeds in your mind as to how you could use heather as a wedding flower. If you're not able to plan...
Just don’t say the word Teuchter.

Today I want to share the beauty of Scottish heather with you, and let you know when and where to see heather in Scotland for yourself.
After a busy weekend I was ready to have myself a quiet night in until I noticed the sky was like none I had seen before so I made the short journey up onto Alnwick Moors and set up for sunset. However I was there far to early and happened to glance over towards the Rothbury crossroads and I noticed the light highlighting the heather over on the moor, so i quickly packed up all my gear and made a mad dash over the A697 crossroads and parked in one of the many lay-bys and settled down for an hour or so waiting on the colour to appear in the sky. It was well worth the relocation and the wait Thanks for looking :)
