I have had this picture sitting in my "In Progress" folder for many months without touching it. It has just sat there finished and ready to go...and today I finally felt like it was time to post. Sometimes waiting is such a good thing. It gives you time to reflect on what you have created and why you created it. And sometimes more so, why you want to share it. As I put this picture together I continually doubted if I was "doing it right" for the sake of having never done it before. That in itself is a great thing because it meant I was teaching myself new techniques. To never become stagnant: that is my goal. And that is why I am going out to shoot some video today :) The idea - not having control over your life - is one that I reject and so that is a personal touch that I wanted to put into this image. I just got back from teaching at After Dark Education, one of the best photography conferences in the world! It was absolutely amazing. That said, my next event that I am teaching at is in Dubai in November and until then, I get to kick back and create! I adore teaching with everything I have in me, so I am already planning 2013 workshops. If there is a city you'd like me to teach in please do let me know, that is super helpful :) facebook | formspring | website | blog | twitter

Over the years, we at Bored Panda have released quite a few pieces on subpar design. And while these publications are incredibly fun to prepare and scroll through (just take a look at this one), we need to balance them out a little. After all, not every designer is an incompetent 3-year-old. Some of them are 4... light-years ahead of the competition.
