Hello and welcome, My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI149 this photo was chosen by Lou Kitzelman. The chosen colour combination for #CI149 is Fresh Freesia, Moody Mauve and Misty Moonlight. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Night of Navy instead of Misty Moonlight .... you get the drift). The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 21st August 2023 details to follow at the end of my blog. These colours are so beautiful together and so is the photo. For my card I went with the Translucent Florals bundle (162253) which is in the new Mini Catalogue Sept-Dec 2023. This will be available as of next month for customers. I've used a new embossing folder which is also from the Mini Catalogue and it's called Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. It's part of the All About Autumn Suite and will be available next month for customers to purchase. I've embossed it using Misty Moonlight Cardstock, then distressed the embossed panel with Paper Snips and added White Craft ink with the Sponge Dauber. Next, I create a watercolour wash background using Water Paper and the three challenge colours. I like to add water using the Water Painter I used the wide brush tip and applied water to the Water Paper. I started with Misty Moonlight ink then added Fresh Freesia and Moody Mauve. The stamped images from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set add a soft look to the images. I then used the coordinating dies to die-cut them out. The sentiment is heat embossed using Versamark, White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. I've used one of the labels dies from Cracker & Treat Box Dies and die-cut out the sentiment. Other elements I've used are Moody Mauve Jute Trim and Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems. I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge. Upload only one picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and not in an album Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI149 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 21st August 2023. Welcome to the New At SU September Blog Hop as we explore this month's theme "Shine, Shimmer & Glow with the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog". It's a fun way to explore the wonderful new products in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog with a bit of a twist. Our talented Design Team will be sharing their ideas and projects to help inspire you to get creative. For my card design, I wanted to show how the Translucent Florals Bundle could be used to create a beautiful Fall themed birthday card. I chose colors that had a distinctive Fall feel to them including Wild Wheat, Copper Clay, Calypso Coral and Early Espresso. For my touch of shimmer, I used a piece of the Wild Wheat Luster Specialty Paper for the background and I embossed it with the new Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder to add some wonderful texture. For the base of my floral design, I die cut a circle using the new Deckled Circles Dies and I love how the Copper Clay cardstock peeks through the floral design to add depth and dimension. This was a color combination I had not tried before and I really love how these colors work together to create that warm Fall feeling. Products Used: Translucent Florals Bundle (item #162253) Deckled Circles Dies (item #162286) Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183) Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (item #162189) 2023-2025 In Color Luster Specialty Paper (item #161746) Copper Clay Cardstock (item #161721) Wild Wheat Cardstock (item #161725) Early Espresso Cardstock (item #119686) Basic White Cardstock (item #1259276) Copper Clay Classic Ink Pad (item #161647) Wild Wheat Classic Ink Pad (item #161651) Calypso Coral Classic Ink Pad (item #147101) Versamark Pad (item #102283) Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555) 2023-2025 In Color Dots (item #161620) Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430) Measurements: Copper Clay Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4") Large Circle die cut with the Deckled Circles Dies 2023-2025 In Color Luster Specialty Paper (Wild Wheat) Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4" Embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder 2 Flower centers die cut with the Translucent Floral Dies Basic White Cardstock 2 large flowers stamped with Copper Clay Classic ink 2 medium flowers stamped with Calypso Coral Classic ink 2 small flowers stamped with Copper Clay Classic ink 2 large leaves stamped with Wild Wheat Classic ink 2 medium leaves stamped with Wild Wheat Classic ink (all flowers and leaves created using the Translucent Floral Bundle) Wild Wheat Cardstock 2 detailed foliage die cut with the Translucent Floral Dies Early Espresso Cardstock Sentiment Label die cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies For this card design, I wanted to let the different colors be the focus of this card design. The Wild Wheat Luster Specialty Paper adds a soft shimmer to the background the provides the perfect background for the flowers. I love how the Calypso Coral and Copper Clay flowers look together and the Wild Wheat leaves add a wonderful contrast without overpowering the design. For the centers of the large Copper Clay flowers, I added centers die cut from the Wild Wheat Luster Specialty Paper to help step up the design. To add a little more detail and texture, I die cut 3 of the detailed foliage die cuts from Wild Wheat cardstock and sponged them with Copper Clay Classic ink using a sponge dauber to add a touch of dimension to the design. The sentiment was heat embossed with Gold embossing powder onto an Early Espresso label and I tucked the left side underneath the floral layers so that the right side lines up with the edge of the card front. To complete the card design, I added several Pebbled Path Dots. I love how this all came together and I am excited to see how the Translucent Florals Bundle will look with other color combinations. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to explore the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog and add a little shine, shimmer and glow to your projects. Here is my third Curved Occasions card. You can find this Bundle in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalogue. There are 5 images in the stamp set, so of course I had to make 5 cards! They all have the same layout, and are all on a Crumb Cake card base, but I mixed up the other colours a bit to suit each image. The colours on this one are Blackberry Bliss, Berry Burst and Lost Lagoon. I made the background strips using the Curved Label Punch, and popped on some Iridescent Rhinestones for embellishment. It's the last week of the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. I hope you have been visiting weekly to get your Christmas inspiration and that you have begun making your own Christmas cards, only 4 weeks to go! I have a very pretty Christmas card to share with you tonight. I had some of the beautiful Snowflake Magic Specialty DSP that I really wanted to use. I cut three strips of the small snowflake design and mounted them of a piece of Bubble Bath card stock. I used the highlight/texture stamp from the Merriest Trees stamp set to stamp Versamark in Bubble Bath card stock. I heat embossed in White Embossing Powder. The greeting is stamped in Bubble Bath ink on white cardstock. The final touch is a snowflake cut from More Dazzle Specialty DSP with one of the Chic Dies. Now it's time to hop over to Caroline Manwaring's blog to see what Christmas goodness she has to share with us. If you have any issues with the links in our blog hop please head to Sharon's blog as she is the wonderful host of our Christmas Blog Hops and has a complete list of tonight's participants. Welcome to another TGIF Challenge Friday! This week our challenge is "What would you do ... without a sentiment?" Friends, today I'm sharing the second card in my Share a Milkshake Class. If you missed the first one, find it here. Place an order with me in April (min. $60 before tax/shipping) and receive the pre-cut card packets for this class FREE! Tip: If you need the Share a Milkshake Stamps & Dies, they are retiring soon and now on sale! Here's today's card: Watch my FREE demo Shop with me now To make this card, I first die cut a small tag from Basic White Cardstock, using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. Then I stamped my sentiment from the Share a Milkshake Stamp Set onto it in Poppy Parade Ink. I also fed a piece of Real Red Ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack through the hole in the tag, then tied and trimmed it. This terrific ribbon combo is retiring soon and now on sale: Two pieces of important info about our card thus far: First, Basic White Cardstock is going up in price as of May 1st! The price increase is substantial, so it's a good idea to stock up now. Second, did you know that the Tailor Made Tags Dies are retiring at the end of the month? They've been a go-to for me for a long time, so I'm kind of sad about that. If you don't have them, get them before they're gone for good! Next, I used the Share a Milkshake Dies to cut: a waffle cone from Crumb Cake Cardstock 3 ice cream images from Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink & Pool Party Cardstocks a cherry from Poppy Parade Cardstock a spoon from More Dazzle Specialty Paper Using Mini Glue Dots, I pieced together the ice cream cone and slipped the spoon into the slot in the ice cream. The super-sparkly More Dazzle Specialty Paper is retiring soon, too, and is conveniently already cut to 6"x6": My final die cutting task was to use the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a mid-sized scalloped rectangle from Basic White Cardstock. These versatile dies are also retiring and now discounted. To assemble, I adhered a 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" panel of Les Shoppes DSP to a Basic White Note Card. Since it's retiring soon, the Les Shoppes Paper is a bargain at 50% off: Using Stampin' Dimensionals™, I added the scalloped rectangle, ice cream cone, and stamped tag. Then I embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels. Thanks so much for joining me today! Don't forget my FREE class offer & Paper Share below - and do check out my other Special Offers.
