© All Rights Reserved_Cope Hut. Please read This is one of my best shots in my flickr photostream and I would appreciate if it remains on flickr and not be shared in blogs, etc. even with 'credit'. Recently, I found it on a blog, almost butchered to death in photoshop and without 'credit', but still recognizable as my photo. The blog was shut down within half an hour. smallbusiness.yahoo.com/advisor/resource-center/content-b... It is not about me, it is about protecting and respecting the creative work of photographers, being professional or amateur photographers, and any other work . This is my favourite shot of this photo weekend course. I also just realised (almost four weeks later) that I inadvertently chose a similar spot to set up my tripod that Richard White chose for his shot of Cope Hut. Feel bad about this and did not mean to copy. It just looked right to me from this position with that beautiful snow gum on the right. The conditions on this day were just magic; From a blue sky the previous day to this over night! From NYT Cooking: Gochujang, the fermented Korean chile paste, offers intrigue in this otherwise classic chewy sugar cookie. A gentle amount of ground cinnamon lends snickerdoodle vibes, and the dough is raked through with ripples of clay-red gochujang “caramel,” in which brown sugar and butter mellow the chile’s heat. Mixing this dough by hand is highly recommended for the most defined crinkles and the chewiest texture.

The 1st of February marks the beginning of spring in the Celtic calendar with the festival of Imbolc, the first of 4 major fire festivals referred to in Irish mythology. The days are starting to get noticably longer and the first early signs of spring have begun to emerge. I have had a rough idea for this shot for some time — combining snowdrops, a traditional early herald of spring, with hand-made Brigid's Crosses, flowing green and white cloth, lush green moss and natural birch candle holders. I gathered local common club-rushes to weave these equal-armed solar crosses which, in Ireland, are a symbol likely to predate Christianity and are associated with the Goddess Brigid, one of the Tuatha Dé Danann of Irish mythology.
