Happy Monday Crafty Friends! With the hustle and bustle of Christmas behind us for another year, I am excited to start working on other everyday projects! I'm so excited to share my shaped card with you today using some of the new Top Dog Dies I recently got!!! We recently had some new neighbors move in just before Christmas, so I thought it was fitting to use the Our Home Album Die to create a house shaped card! I just LOVE how it turned out! It's always so much fun to have a vision, but then once completed and it turning out even better then you visioned....major success!! I used the Home Album Finishers Die Set to add the fun accents on the house; door, fence, chimney, windows and shutters! The large Congratulations and added "on your new home!" sentiment are from the lovely Big Congrats set from Inspired By Stamping! The flowers and leaves weaved in the fence is the Wildflower Die! What some fun dies!! -------------- Dies used: Our Home Album Die Home Album Finishers Die Set Wildflower Die Check out the Top Dog Dies Blog for some more wonderful inspiration!! Once, I wanted to make a special card for my friend's birthday. I searched for ideas everywhere but everything seemed so complicated or needed stuff I didn't have. Then, I found a simple method using just paper, markers, and some old magazines. It was not just easy but also a lot of fun. I cut out pictures from magazines, drew some doodles, and put it all together. My friend loved it because it was unique and personal. Later, I maked more cards for different events like holidays and thank you notes. I realized that making cards is not just about

Hello! Hope your day is going great! I enjoyed play group with Carter this morning and am looking forward to a relaxing afternoon! I wanted to pop in and share a card that I made yesterday. In my head this is what I told myself "A little more cardmaking a little less overthinking it!' I just wanted to enjoy stamping and creating so I made a very CAS card, but I love it! I am entering this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge of Clean and Simple: I enjoyed stamping this card and paper piecing it with the This and That papers by Echo Park! Last night Chad and I finished up facilitating the Marriage Prep Course at our church, this was our third time doing it this year! It's done now until the fall! So enjoy getting to know new couples! :> Afterwards I went out with a good friend for a late movie. We saw: And it was as good as you think it's going to be! It was so great to get out with a good friend! :> We cruised the book store first and enjoyed chatting before and after the movie! :> Oh and I also just finished a popular book: I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella. It's an easy and enjoyable read. I loved it. Nothing wrong with fluff reading, for me reading is to relax! :> Well I am off! I hope to be back soon I've cleaned up and organized my craft space and got lots of new goodies lately so I really feel the desire to craft! :>

I have made a thank you card with the flowers from Lawn Fawn's Spring Flowers Backdrop Die set... I hope to make a card with the entire frame, but had die cut the flowers and that was as far as I got. These flowers have sat on my desk for WEEKS..first as die cuts, then I took and adhered them together and then had layered flowers(daisies). I needed to do something with them, so here we are! I cut strips of green for the stems, and made the leaves from an unlikely source...an old Paper Smooches die... ...the CENTERS of the loopy leaves...go figure! This die happened to be on my desk, as well...for a LONG time...funny how things go! I then added a die cut and layered CZ Design Thanks with a vellum background. The blue cardstock I used a MFT Stamps polka dot background stamp, versamarked and white embossed. Here's a close up... I love being able to use things just laying around and make something of them, despite having different intentions! I have a whole box of leftovers....might be making some cards with those, too! Hope you have a great day...the week...the month...is flying by!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

I like the idea of a post at the end of each year showing my favorites. We're having some light snow to add to what we got just after Chris...
I hosted my New Catalog Open House on Saturday, the first event I have held in Oregon - my new home state. I invited everyone I knew in my community, all 9 of them! 😆 And I was so happy that six ladies attended! Today I'll show you the card I had for everyone to make. It's very simple, as I didn't know if any of the attendees had ever stamped before, and as it happens, only one had. So finding this card on Facebook and duplicating it for my Open House was perfect (I can't remember who posted this sample, but thank you!). I precut and scored the Thick Whisper White card base and the (gorgeous!) Blueberry Bushel piece of Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper. And I had given everyone a piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock, on which they stamped their daisies from Daisy Lane, two large and two small. Then they punched out and layered their daisies. After adhering their Blueberry Bushel DSP to the card, everyone stamped "smile" with Blueberry Bushel ink. Then they just had to adhere their flower and add a Clear Faceted Gem to the center. Everyone did a great job with their card, and went home smiling. We're all looking forward to our first Card Club, coming soon! More Open House photos coming tomorrow...look for the cute little gift I had for all attendees. I have 2 cards today, using the same cover die. I had the idea to stamp various sizes of circles behind each flower and leaf before raising the die above the card front. supplies: white and black cardstock, Hero Arts Flower Garden fancy die, Simon Lots of Dots clear stamp set, Altenew mini inks, sentiment from Simon Sketched Flowers, sequins to match circles, adhesive foam strips to lift panel Using my die-cut garden to help me with the placement, I stamped various sizes of circles/dots. Then I carefully popped the white die-cut above the card and added some sequins to match the dots behind each flower. The placement isn't perfect, but I'm really pleased with how this one came out, and I plan to try this technique with some of my other cover dies. Below is a simpler version, using the same ink colors in the same positions as above, but just simply coloring the flowers, butterflies, and leaves using the inks diluted with water, and then gluing the diecut down to a white card base. I added some dewdrops to the centers this time for a subtle sparkle, and an old favorite sentiment from Hero Arts. supplies: white card, Bristol Paper, Hero Arts Flower Garden fancy die, painted in Altenew mini inks and water, Hero Arts Flowers Say Hello, from 2002, Simon Stitched Circle die, dew drops for centers of flowers Thanks for stopping by - wishing you a GREAT weekend!
Good morning! I'm back, a little later than expected, because we decided to repaint yet another room in our home, which takes time and energy out pretty fast! Hopefully it will be worth the efforts after everything is done. I've made a few cards last week that I wanted to share with you today. I had a lot of fun playing with colors, patterns, flowers and gems... First one has a green theme. I just love these flowers! They make a great statement on a card. Used a decorative brad in the center of the flower. Number two is in blue tones. This one is a little more contemporary. It has an envelope that can hold a note or some cash if you wish... Number three is in pink with flowers, ribbon, rhinestones and hand cut banners - which made me want to make it a Birthday card. And number four is a scraplift from a card I found on Pinterest. I really liked this simple yet elegant design, so I just copied it in different colors and added a ribbon and enamel dots. So, that was one of the productive days last week. I really hope that soon we'll get everything back in place and organized, so I can start creating again... but right now it a big mess in all three rooms upstairs, since we had to move out all the furniture from one room, cluttering the other two. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your last week of July! And I hope to see you back here soon! Have a great day!
Here are 2 more cards using the sketch that I found on Norine's blog last year. I'm looking towards spring already, so I used some sweet pastels on these ones. supplies: white, pinks, yellows and Green Apple cardstock, dps from Echo Park Spring Dots & Stripes and Spring Dots & Stripes Gingham pads from 2018, The Greetery Sunflower Botanicuts dies, Hero Arts leaf die, (retired) Winnie & Walter hello die What I most liked about Norine's card was her use of ginghams and dots in 2 sizes, and I've again followed suit for these cards. It helps that I have 2 older Echo Park paper pads in my stash that coordinate nicely with each other. Here's a yellow version. supplies: white, kraft, yellows, and green cardstock, dps from same pads as above, The Greetery Sunflower Botanicuts, Hero Arts leaf die, (retired) Winnie & Walter hugs die I've used this sketch before, first HERE for an autumn card, and HERE for a winter one. And I plan to do a summer version when that gets closer. Thanks for your visit today - have a great one!

I had to make a new home card the other day and saw they are looking for kraft and red over at Color Hues this month, I decided that would be my colour scheme. I think kraft and red look great together and I love this little house die from do crafts, it comes with the tiny heart too. The hills are cut from scraps of stamping card with an oval die and the windows and hearts are cut from no shed glitter paper. I was going to heat emboss the sentiment in white but, the powder stuck to everything and I had to wipe it off and decided that it was fine as it was just stamped with versamark. I am also sharing this at: Happy Little Stampers - Anything goes with dies October Supplies: Cardstock: White stamping card; Kraft card Ink: Versamark Stamps: Uniko Dies: Hobby Craft, heart die; Docrafts, house die; Waffle Flower, Ovals; Create a smile, stitched rectangle. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Hi everyone, sharing two of the projects the ladies made at last weekend's class. It uses the True Love Designer Series Paper and Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. The flowers were cut from the Designer Series Paper and coloured using Dark and Light Real Red and Dark and Light Old Olive. I will admit that I had a bit of trouble working out which way was up or down with these flowers and after looking at the pictures I think I still got it wrong, especially with the box but the good thing is you can just turn it up the right way. The box is one of the Love You Always Treat Boxes available in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue. There is no adhesive required in putting these boxes together and they are perfect for giving a little gift. I love the contract of the black and white in the Designer Series Paper with the pop of red. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. Carolyn Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest True Love
