I think this home needs no introduction since we have been anticipating the final photos for some time now! We really want to thank the generous couple who made time for us to shoot their lovely place because everyone has such busy schedules, especially so with children and with so many things to unpack. hello! Here's a recently completed maisonette in Geylang which we have done up over the past few months. This maisonette features a splendid open concept kitchen with an island kitchen that forms the integral part of the whole design for the lower floor. The home owners had real fun having company over where everyone basically gathers at this kitchen island for home cooked food. a mix of old and new. Part of the kitchen straddles between the new and old flooring. Kitchen island in rustic wood laminate finish topped with quartz countertop. kitchen backsplash in small marble like hexagonal tiles with a raw finish above: detail of marble like hexagonal mosaic tiles. super pretty. home owners especially request for powerpoints in silver finish for kitchen island. Lourve door to bathroom on the right Pretty wire basket, hand carried all the way back from Japan wooden mirror and ledge from MUJI repeated hexagonal shape tiles for the common bathroom downstairs. Accent wall in a darker tile for contrast. Similar yet different. A choice in detail which is subtle and not overly distinguished. wooden wall coat hooks from MUJI dining table from IKEA (i think so...correct me if im wrong! hahah) super huge barn door which our contractor had some trouble fabricating and installing upstairs - herringbone engineered oak, sourced by home owners. fuzz free, simple open master bathroom. bare minimal. open to sky balcony finished in engineered wood decking, sourced by home owners.
