This page outlines some common Russian words to kickstart your Russian knowledge. The first step in learning any language is to learn some basic words, and Russian is no different. Such words are common because they are important, and they are heavily used in speaking the language. Until you can speak Russian fluently, knowing some regularly used words will help you to pick up the general nature of conversations. Always remember that the purpose of a language is to enable two people to successfully understand each other. It doesn't matter if you can't speak fluently yet. Learning just a few words will allow you to understand any Russian speaker much better than before!
Build vocabulary and strengthen students' knowledge of morphology with these word search puzzles and word scramble activities focusing on common root words. Students love word searches, and I love anything that helps them build their vocabulary knowledge! That's why I picked some common must-learn root words as the focus of this vocabulary word search collection. On each page, kids read the definitions of five related words and determine what they all have in common. (Each word shares the same root word, or relates to the meaning of the root word in some way.) Then they unscramble the words, and find them in the word search puzzle. Includes 12 word search pages and an answer key. Thank you for your interest in my shop. Here is some information regarding my Word Clouds/Wordles. I know it’s long, but it’s detailed and it should answer any questions you have about my word clouds. *** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS FOR A CUSTOM CREATED DIGITAL FILE ONLY - NOTHING WILL BE SHIPPED. ALL CUSTOMIZATION HAPPENS AFTER THE ORDER IS PAID FOR. The samples I have listed are the examples used to demonstrate my work and help you make your decision about purchasing from my store. If you have any questions, please convo/email me prior to purchasing your word cloud. Once you have decided that you want to go through with a word cloud: Leave me the following information in the "Note to Seller" during checkout. PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS: 1) Purchase the word cloud you are interested in. No work on the word cloud takes place until after the word cloud is purchased. Most of the time you will see a draft/proof in 1-2 business days or less (via etsy’s email/convo system). I pride myself on my quick turnaround. Sometimes I work on weekends but most of my work is done during the weekdays. 2) In your order COMMENTS, please add specific information about your word cloud. a. Main name or word b. Additional names/words/phrases/dates – all of this should be typed out with each unique value on it’s own line, no punctuation (like ,) in between each value. If someone’s name has an apostrophe, please add it – or other special character – and I will let you know if it requires a font change. I recommend at least 20-25 words for a word cloud and up to 75 words. I have done up to 1,000 names for a word cloud, and the price may go up after 75 words. Please convo/email me ahead of time if you know your word list is over 75. c. Colors are as-is and cannot be changed in this word cloud design. d. List the words in order of significance. Generally they go in order. For instance, the top word is generally the teacher name followed by the school year. Some people also put the school name and grade year. Don’t feel bad to ask me to make your child’s name more prominent than others. A lot of people do it! It’s a very common request. :) 3) You will receive 2 drafts with your order. Once I send the initial draft, please be specific with your changes and then I will send another draft for your approval. After that you will receive your final files. This is generally a quick process and most of my word clouds (well over 90%) are approved based on the first draft. 4) The fonts you see in my samples are what I offer for each word cloud – but you can specify a different word cloud I sell in which you like the font better. (it helps if you send me the link). If you don’t like any of the fonts I have listed, please convo/email me PRIOR to placing your order. Let me know the specific font name you are looking for and I can let you know if I have it in my font library or something like it. Scrutinizing fonts is a very lengthy and cumbersome process but I am happy to accommodate font change requests if you have a specific font in mind. 5) Please keep in mind that once I send over your high resolution final files I cannot make any further changes to your project. Future changes would require the purchase of a new word cloud. 6) Would you like a phrase beneath or above your word cloud? Something like a date or a bible verse or famous quote? That’s not an issue. Please let me know during the order process what you would like to have written and where you would like it placed. You can specify if you want the same font as the word cloud or if you want a script font. Please specify the color or I will choose one based on the other colors used in the word cloud. 7) It helps to know what medium you are printing on. Most people will print on cardstock paper, but if you have a canvas in mind or metal or a coffee cup, the file type and background (i.e. transparent) will be important here. 8) If you know the size of your frame (i.e. 5x7 or 8x10) please let me know this information when you place your order. 8x10 printed on 8.5x11 cardstock paper is by far the most popular size for projects printed by my customers. If you know the frame size ahead of time I can then create a specific final file based on that size specifically for printing. If you do not know the size - you will receive the standard high res files (which are much much larger in size than 8x10 for instance - that way - if you were to print a 4x4 foot canvas art, you would be able to use your file without it becoming pixelated). If you were to request an 8x10 file and then later try and print on 11x14, that is when it would become an issue as the image would appear pixelated. That being said - this would never be an issue because I would give you the file size you request (i.e. 8x10) in addition to the high res standard files. Discounts: I do not give discounts on my word clouds unless every word/name, shape, color scheme is identical between word clouds with only ONE main name/word used to differentiate between the word clouds. If this does apply to you (for instance, giving word clouds to two different teachers for the same class) - please CONVO/Email me and I will let you know the price. I use up to 999 words to create my word clouds. It is very possible that some names or words next to or close to each other will be the same. I do my best to minimize this but every time I adjust 1 name it means that 998 have the opportunity to move somewhere else after I refresh my word clouds. Placement of words are based on word size and available space. The best thing to do is provide a large number of unique words including small words (especially if it is a design with a lot of small spaces). If you let me know ahead of time which names are most prominent, I will be sure to make them prominent at least once within the word cloud. The final high res standard files you will receive (via etsy email convo system) are JPG, PDF and if requested a PNG (with transparent background). If you need SVG format please specify this. Etsy doesn’t allow me to upload SVG files to their mail server so you would also need to send me your email address to send the SVG file to. Please specify if you require a transparent background for the SVG file. Please note: I do NOT recommend using my word cloud files for use with machines like Silhouette or Cricut. Weeding these types of projects would be a nightmare. :) NOTE: I do NOT provide a printed item. My recommendation is to print it at home on a nice cardstock paper (which can be purchased at most office stores) or take it to a local store that does on-demand printing and have them print it. The listings I have in my store are just a small sample set of the type of word clouds that I can create. Most of the time my samples are for teacher appreciation but you can use any of my word clouds for any occasion. For instance, you may want to use one of my teacher giraffe word clouds for a baby room décor or a Mother’s Day flower word cloud for a birthday word cloud. People have done word clouds for retirement, memorials, weddings, invitations (birthday, shower, wedding), birthdays, school teacher, music teacher, martial arts teacher, graduation, Mother's Day, Father's Day, milestone birthday, Awareness, Fundraisers, thank you, etc…there are so many ways to use a word cloud as part of a truly unique and personal gift. Most people print the files on cardstock paper, but you can take the digital file and find a vendor that can make pretty much anything with it (like a coffee mug, mouse pad, t-shirt, phone case, etc...) If you don’t see a shape you want in my store listings, please send me a CONVO/email and ask about the particular shape. For instance, you may want a specific bird or animal or sports team logo or mascot. In most cases I can offer that shape at no additional cost. If you require customization of a unique image (for instance a company logo), please email me a JPG or PDF version of the logo (or link to it online) and I will let you know if there is an additional cost. NOTE: I do NOT create logos. I take existing logos and create word clouds from them. Generally, if I can use that shape in the future for another customer, I will create it at no additional customization charge. If it is a unique logo/design that I am unlikely to use again, there will be a small customization fee. I do NOT provide an editable word cloud/wordle document. All of the projects I create are sent to you as a final digital product without the ability to edit or change. ALL DESIGNS ARE PERSONALIZED AND UNIQUE. THE PLACEMENT OF WORDS DEPENDS ON TEXT, FONT TYPE AND GRAPHIC. © All photos and images are copyrighted. Purchase of prints does not transfer copyright. You may not forward, share, sell or distribute the file or print, and it is for personal use only. Please remember - YOU ARE PURCHASING A DIGITAL FILE NOT A MAILED PRINT. I WILL EMAIL YOU THE COMPLETED WORD CLOUD IN A high resolution digital IMAGE in the etsy convo/email system. My word cloud/wordles are all hand-made/made-to-order items unless otherwise specified. Thank you for your business! I appreciate every customer who has purchased anything from my store.
