This pattern does NOT contain specific stitch counts, sizes, yardage, or gauges! This cozy, oversized cardigan is perfect for chill, quiet nights at home. The Homeward Bound Cardigan can be dressed both up or down- it truly is a wardrobe staple and looks awesome with trousers, jeans, skirts, and dresses! Its adjustable construction method means you can customize this cardigan to suit your needs- try making this in the Classic Version, or the modified Cropped Bomber style! Homeward Bound is constructed in two identical halves- a right and left side. The body of the cardigan is worked up in joined, turned rounds as a hexagon. Once the hexagon reaches your desired size, it is folded in half and seamed across one side to create the shoulder seam. One side of the folded hexagon is extended with turned rounds to create the sleeve. The yarn is reattached on the open end of the hexagon, and the body of the cardigan is worked in joined, turned rounds until reaching the desired measurements. A second, identical half is created, and the two are seamed up the back to create the cardigan shape. A ribbed edging is worked along the bottom hem and neckline to finish off the edges. Weave in all ends and enjoy your new Homeward Bound Cardigan! The Homeward Bound Cardigan pairs beautifully with high waisted bottoms, and can be dressed both up or down- it truly is a wardrobe staple! This is a novice level crochet pattern. It uses a handful of simple stitches and techniques, combined with some basic increasing and decreasing, to produce a garment that is textured and visually interesting, without the hassle of complicated stitches or advanced shaping. It requires some understanding of working and increasing in the round. This pattern is written tutorial style, meaning it can be scaled to fit any size required!
