【歐洲日報/記者楊年熙報導】 羅浮宮有三寶,每年來參觀的八萬多訪客必定要看,一是米羅的維納斯女神雕塑,一是達文西的蒙娜麗莎,然後便是貝聿銘所建的金字塔。 羅浮宮金字塔今天成為巴黎的又一個象徵,興建之初卻吵得天翻地覆,爭論罕見地激烈。從一九八九年三月三十日啟用以來,座落於拿破崙方場內的玻璃金字塔,在政治反對風潮的背景前,掀起了一場迷你革命。 二十年後,九十一歲的貝聿銘剛在卡達(Qatar)的首都杜哈(Doha)為他設計的新博物館揭幕。而在巴黎,有了玻璃金字塔之後的羅浮宮,每年參觀人次 從之前的三百萬遽然增加,二00八年時已達八百五十萬。由於大家都從這個新大門進出,現在人潮的疏通又開始出現管理上的問題。 目前有待解決的問題如下:除了對金字塔下分貝過高的噪音得加以處理,售票口也得考慮遷移,同時再增加接待點,依據訪客的類型分散入口處。因此羅浮宮博物館當局正在推出一個將地下層十二萬五千平方公尺的中央空間全面現代化的計畫。 貝聿銘在一九八三年時曾說:「最要緊的是在下方,單獨一個金字塔是沒有意義的。」這座高二十公尺的玻璃塔計畫一宣佈便引發了古典和現代之爭。在保護國家資產一派和建築創意派之間,左派和右派之間,都有許多不同的意見。 保守派認為,羅浮宮和凱旋門之間的美好景觀將被破壞。而且在這樣一個重要的歷史地點,怎能將如此不相同的建築風格放在一起?當時七個國家資產保護協會為此質問文化部長賈克朗。「前進派」相反的覺得這種重疊非常別緻,何況建立一座金字塔的構想在拿破崙時代便有人提出了。 密特朗一九八一年一上任,便推出羅浮宮整修招標計畫,費加洛報評之為「金字塔玩意兒」,世界報專欄更稱之為「死人之家」。但撰寫評論的費米吉耶 (Andre Fermigier)因此被撤職。媒體也分成兩派,讀者跟著起鬨。讀者多數認為金字塔計畫有其「政治作用」,也質疑工程的費用浩大(二十億法郎),玻璃表 面難以攀登,維護必定昂貴。 一九八五年的四月二十八日,密特朗在電視一台上反駁所有反對派。馬爾侯過去的幕僚畢亞斯尼(Emile Biasini)有「壓路機」之稱,被密特朗任命為「大規模工程次長」,也極力發揮說服功能。 當時的巴黎市長席哈克預約了一個實體大小的模型,終於將反對的聲浪壓了下去。密特朗在首任總統任期期滿之前數周,為破紀錄快速建成的金字塔主持了落成典 禮。經過施工中間的考古挖掘,以及財經部拒絕遷離羅浮宮的利希留樓,而爆發壕溝戰之後,這個建築上的大膽創新技術終於被法國人接受,後來越來越感覺好像是 羅浮宮原來就有的一部分。 【2009-04-08/歐洲日報】 貝聿銘 只做美麗的事 【民生報/記者賴素鈴/特稿】 從中國園林發想設計蘇州博物館,貝聿銘如魚得水,因為園林儼然是他生命中的基因──貝聿銘的老家,就是鼎鼎大名的蘇州四大名園之一「獅子林」! 1917年貝聿銘生於蘇州獅子林貝家,這支名門望族出了「顏料大王」貝潤生、「金融鉅子」貝祖詒,而曾任中國銀行副總經理、中央銀行總裁的貝祖詒,正是貝聿銘的父親。 人人說貝聿銘是「華裔建築師第一人」,想必也少有其他人能像小貝公子的優越環境,把假山石洞與曲橋魚塘當作遊樂場,童年的薰陶影響終生,貝聿銘後來才意識到蘇州經驗對他設計的影響:「人與自然共存,而不只是自然而已,這是我從蘇州園林中學到的。」 1935年,年方18歲的貝聿銘赴美,先後於麻省理工學院、哈佛大學等建築名校取得學士、碩士學位,隨即被哈佛建築系聘為當時最年輕的助理教授,1948 年起為地產大王齊肯多夫延攬,38歲創設貝氏建築事務所,一路來平步青雲,不管多麼爭議的設計風雲都轉為讓他聲名更上層樓的天梯。 「貝聿銘是超級推銷員!」建築大師菲立普‧強生(Philip Johnson)曾如是說,而且算是「推崇」,適切點出貝聿銘卓越的公關能力和人際關係。 許多關鍵性的重大業務,都得力於和他合作過的業主舉薦。貝聿銘和業主的關係就算結案也情義長存,他的「外交長才」往往是轉危為安的利器,即使不斷追加預算,都「有能力神奇且美妙的引導業主更上層樓」。 最有名的例子是他因設計甘迺迪紀念圖書館與賈桂琳建立長久的良好關係,北京香山飯店、巴黎羅浮宮玻璃金字塔落成時,賈桂琳都曾是上賓,賈桂琳甚至曾想邀貝聿銘為她設計自宅。 名流政要都成好友,不只因貝聿銘長袖善舞,也緣於他出身上流社會的好品味。貝聿銘好美食、通美酒,雅賞藝術,建築中的人文情懷很獲認同,畢卡索曾同意將他 創作的西維特(Sylvette)銅像放在貝聿銘設計的紐約大學宿舍,台灣雕塑家朱銘也曾為貝聿銘設計的香港中國銀行大樓創作雕塑《和諧共處》。 貝聿銘嚴格要求細節、樂在工作的追求完美,更是他超越群倫的要件,和貝聿銘同年又同學的前輩建築師王大閎,多年前就曾以《雄心與野心》一文描述這位「為了 理想而不擇手段」的老友,尤其衝過羅浮宮玻璃金字塔備受抨擊的狂風暴雨,「如果他沒有魄力、想像力和精敏的生意頭腦,絕不會享有今天的名望和地位。」當時 王大閎說。 而貝聿銘一生的堅持則是──只做自己認為美麗的事情。 @Source:【2006-10-06/民生報】
