Easy Crafts for kids
This month's TCP Tuesday challenge is a minimal embellishment challenge. That's right, we're limiting you to just two embellishments--and no twine, buttons, or gems. I'm pretty comfortable with clean and simple designs, but I do love my buttons and twine, so at first I wasn't sure how this would go. Here's my first take on the challenge. It's based on the current Fusion challenge. I used both the sketch and the inspiration photo to put my card together. As soon as I saw the gift-stuffed car in the Fusion inspiration photo, I thought of The Travelin' Man set with its packed and ready for a road trip car. I colored the image with Copic markers, except for the hub caps, which I filled in with a silver gel pen. I used a fine tip pen to draw in a line for a road beneath the car. After coloring the road in, I stamped the "wish I was there" sentiment beneath the image. I used a combination of pink and gray papers to match the colors in the inspiration photo. The fun dotted panel that runs across the card adds a whimsical look to the card. I hand cut the trio of banners that extend from underneath the image panel. The only embellishments I used were a pair of clouds die cut from shimmery white cardstock using the CutUps Cloud Border die. They're attached to the top corner of the image panel. For all the details on this month's challenge and how you can become this month's Swanky Stamper, stop by Alma's blog. She'll also be showing off some other samples for the challenge. Materials Used: Travelin' Man stamp set, Neenah white cardstock, CutUps Cloud Border die (The Cat's Pajamas); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Basic Gray, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Cut and Paste-Adorbs 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); foam tape

Happy Thursday Friends! Before I start this post I've got a confession to make. I don't have time to read. I WISH I did but I don't. I keep up with my favorite blogs but
I have used a Paper Shelter digi called I Wish I Was There!, and coloured it with ProMarkers. My papers are from the Echo Park Let's Be Mermaids pack. The bunting is Jenni B; the birthday message, ice-cream truck and ice-creams are Creative Mates; and the hut and lounger are Express Yourself. The bikini is made up of 2 Dress It Up buttons. And lastly, the straw beach bag is Lulu's Scrapbooking. It originally had a purple rose on it, but I pulled it off and added a tiny Jenni B flower instead. I would like to enter this card into the following challenges: The Paper Shelter Challenge 300: Summer Birthday Crafty Gals Challenge #129: Anything Goes Jo's Scrap Shack FFC #194: Anything Goes + Use Red, Orange & Aqua Through The Craft Room Door Week 27/6 - 3/7: Anything Goes Addicted To Stamps And More Challenge #248: Holiday A Gem of a Challenge Challenge #197: Summer Colours Whoopsi Daisy June Challenge: Summer Sun Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love coffee, meaning: Even when I’m in the middle of drinking coffee, I wish I were drinking coffee! I get truly lovesick over a swirly latte, steaming hot in a bowl-shaped mug! Puts me in a frothy happy and cozy daze! And when I’m half-way finished with my latte? I’ll wish it was full again, and fresh, and perfect, like the moment it was poured, brimming with swirls of coffee and milk and the promise of warmth and happiness! I know I am not alone in my coffee adoration! With this Swirly Smiley Latte amigurumi, I’ve endeavored to capture our ever- fleeting moments of coffee bliss in plushy form! And! I’ve endeavored to find a new way to crochet in swirling rivets! Hope you’ll come try my new technique with me, over coffee ;) *Listing is for pattern only, not finished toy. Do your bit for the environment—and your wallet—by making your own Christmas crafts from recycled materials instead of going out to buy something new. Sure, it is the season to be jolly, but it’s also the season to be frugal and mindful of all the trash we create!

Hi Everyone I am here with my DT Card for Make It Crafty I was good not a sequin to be seen. This week I used the Gorgeous Abigail and went with a Brown and Yellow Theme. I have used the Wishes Chippie but instead of centering the top layer I moved it all one way which turned out to be very effective. Copics I used on it are E44 on the bottom and top E43, E42, E40. I then glossy accents it. I also used the hearts and coloured them in Y15. Copics Face - E0000, E000, E00, E01, E11, R21 Hair - E30, E31, E33, E35 Dress, Flowers, Bow - Y11, Y15, Y18, YR23 Skirt, Boots, Bow - E40, E42, E43, E44 Stems - YG11, YG23, YG24 Products used Abigail Digi Stamp Wishes Chipboard Mini Hearts Chipboard Tinklings Thanks for stopping by Jennifer

Reuse Old Fence Boards!: As fences age, they start to fall apart and generally look pretty decrepit. I found that although the boards are very old (up to 50 years in some cases), if they are made out of cedar, they can be in pretty good shape, have lots of integrity left, …
I used the CTMH Dandelion Wishes stamp set to make both of these birthday cards, along with Ballerina and Charcoal cardstock. The "Make a Wish" sentiment is from the retired Wish, an M-sized stamp. After I embossed the images with white embossing powder, I coloured the embossed dandelions with a Tender Pink marker. ( I was inspired by a SU card made by Megumi Holland.) 💕 I also used the Playful Scallops embossing folder for the card above. For my shaker, I used the Stitched Circles Thin Cuts to create a little smaller shaker, as the Shaker Window Thin Cuts dies were a little too big for the size I needed for this card. Happy creating! :) ♥
Here are the 3 steps that will transform you from a non-crafter to a certified Martha Stewart! Do you swoon every time you see something that has been hand lettered? Do you wish that you had the creativity to do the same? Well that was me until I figured out this crafty secret.
Hey, if you have an extra minute or two (max!), will you hop on over and take a quick survey for my site?? I put together a few quick questions to see what you love/hat
I saw this cute craft (seen here) that was just a pom pom glued to a pipe cleaner with the words "We are here!" glued to the pom pom. I loved it. However, you need a hot glue gun to attach everything and that's not very child-friendly. I'd be making the crafts instead of the kids. So I changed it a bit. I bought a couple bags of the sparkly pom poms and found some green pipe cleaners. I know Horton's clover is pink, but they only came in multi-color packs and I didn't really care if the clovers were all different colors. I also found a coloring sheet of an elephant holding a flower and used that as a template for my elephant trunk. The kids colored it and glued it to a small piece of blue paper. They didn't put any glue on the tip of the trunk because that would need to be lifted up later. Then I cut the pipe cleaner in half and the kids put it on the trunk. I tried using Elmer's white glue for my example and it was not working well with the pipe cleaners, so I told the kids I would hot glue it later. For now they just set it on the paper so they would know where to put the pom pom. Then using regular Elmer's glue, they attached a big pom pom to the paper, right at the top of the pipe cleaner. They also glued on the words, "We are here!" The kids were given the option of using smaller pom poms to make a field of clovers at the bottom of the paper. Elmer's glue worked fine for that, although you need to let them be until it's completely dry. In the afternoon, when everything was dry, I used a hot glue gun to attach the top of the pipe cleaner to the paper. That's all it needed because the rest of the pipe cleaner was wrapped up in the trunk! Then I used stencils to write "A person's a person, no matter how small" and displayed them in the hall. Ooh, I just love it! And the bright colors are getting me excited for spring! We also had a froggy party today to celebrate leap day! The kids could bring in anything frog-related or dress in green. It was a great excuse to wear my froggy slippers to work again! **Linking up to the Dr. Seuss linky party at Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas!**
