When you’re looking at tattoos on old people, and they are all faded and oddly shaped (the tattoos, not the people), you tend to instantly think about your own ink and - oh lordy! - whether they will look just as bad as the images you see in front of you. Well, we come bearing good news! Usually, the old people with tattoos you meet had theirs done decades ago, in times of poorer tattooing hygiene, not as good inks, and usually by a not-so-professional artist. So, chances are, your own healed tattoos won’t look anything like that if you choose to get them done by a professional and stick to an aftercare routine. But, you know, words are words, and it is completely understandable that you might need visual proof of these old tattoos that kept plenty well. That’s why we’ve made this nifty little list of tattoos after years of being done and still looking just as good as they did right after inking.
As you might've realized from our publications on the Facebook group 'What in the $20 wish tattoo machine is this?' or the 'That's It, I'm Inkshaming' group, sadly, subpar tattoos are pretty common. Which makes the good ones even more admirable.
Essentially, celebrities (or the stylists who dress them) are the original trendsetters. Many beauty and fashion trends are often inspired by megastars rocking their hawt-est looks. And, well, the rest of us are just copycats, or, in social media terms, followers. However, while the world is copying everything they do, there's something that is entirely theirs and is often hidden under their garments. And that is celebrity tattoos.
Our necks have necklaces, ears have earrings, wrists have bracelets, and fingers have rings. Yet, chests... well, they have chest hair which isn't that impressive at all when you think about it. Okay, ladies usually don't have hair on their chests but that's not what we are talking about here. Some people, though, have found the perfect way to go about the bleakness of their chests and adorned them with incredible tattoo artworks.
These days you won't surprise anyone with your dolphin ankle tattoo or an eternity sign on your wrist. Even believe tattooed on your collarbone is so everyday that one might think they're being sold in Walmart or something. This previous passage is basically saying that tattoos have become the norm, but that's exactly how we like it! In fact, we like body art so much that we've dedicated this whole article to tattoo quotes to highlight our undying love for the art. If you like them as much as we do, you'll also like this selection of cool quotes; we can bet on that.
