The time to order has arrived! The incredible September release from Papertrey Ink is now available! This morning Papertrey Ink released a truly beautiful look book showcasing all the products and featuring projects from the team. Its downloadable and is the prettiest little magazine ever! Click here: September Release Look Book 2018 Sending You Comfort has a die template available for purchase, along with the stamp set. The die perfectly cuts out either leaf branch with a small outline. Its a wonderful way to stretch the use of the stamp set for $4. :D On this card, I cut the leaf image from a panel of cardstock. On the panel, I also heat embossed a sentiment from Sending You Comfort in gold. Gold ink was added along the edge of the panel. To adhere it to the card base, I used foam tape. The foam tape was to bring dimension for my next idea. Inside the die cut area on the panel, I placed the lined stamp leaf branch. Its a perfect fit of course, and its visually interesting and something different. While I stamped and heat embossed on vellum, you could easily stamp right through the opening before adhering the panel. Finally, one more way to use the Sending You Comfort die, creating a background. I repeatedly cut the leaf branch from the same color cardstock as the card base. Each branch was adhered to the base. Some of the edges hung off and when the leaves were all placed where I wanted them, I cut away the excess by following along the card base edges. The smaller splat images from Sending You Comfort were stamped in gold ink. I thought that gold helped tie together the heat embossed sentiment. Whew. What a few days! Thank you all again for all the love, support, and encouragement over the last few days! All your sweet words mean so very much! There are so many hours of time put into creating each of these products. From concept, to sketching, to digitizing, to production, it really is a labor of love. Stepping out into this new world of product design has been quite the adventure. Three steps forward and four steps back. Some days it is rough. But when you share how excited you are about the products, it makes it worth it. Even better, when I get to see how you have used the products yourself! Please email me, or tag me on social media, when you use them! It would mean so so much to see! Hugs to you all! Sincerely Yours, Supplies. List will be updated with products as soon as possible. Welcome to a Week 3 of the Colour Creations Showcase blog hop. This week we continue our journey through the New In Colours for 2024-26 Stampin' Up!, working in alphabetical order. This week our feature colour is the lovely Pretty In Pink. A lovely Pink colour that sits between Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo on the Stampin' Up! Colour Wheel. The Country Flowers bundle is a gorgeous new bundle from the Annual Catalogue and the one I have chosen for this week's card. Pretty In Pink has been teamed with Smokey Slate and Old Olive. I have used Stampin Blends to colour both the floral spray and the bucket that the flowers are arranged in. These have been popped up on Dimensionals onto a piece of White and then Pretty In Pink card that have been die cut using the Spotlight On Nature dies. The cascading flowers have been die cut using dies from the Country Flowers dies and In Colour Designer Series Paper and the same in Regals. In Colour Shimmer Gems have been added to the flower centres. The gems have a gorgeous glimmer to them. The White background card has been embossed using the Eyelet 3D embossing folder and has a narrow edge of Pretty In Pink Bordered ribbon on both top and bottom. A few Pretty In Pink Adhesive Backed Dappled Dots have also been added to the White card. These dots are gorgeous and look like they have a crackled appearance. All of this has been mounted onto a piece of Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. The sentiment, from Simply Said has been White embossed on Pretty In Pink card. In an endeavour to not end up with a lot of retired Designer Series Paper at the end of the catalogue, I have added more to the inside of the card. It has been die cut using one of the Radiating Stitches dies. To cover a bit of a booboo using too much glue, I have added some more die cut flowers and leaves to the top corner. Next in tonight's blog hop is the talented Rachel Palmieri. I look forward to seeing this week's beautiful creation. If the "next" button link is not working or you would like to see a full list of participants then you can hop over to our host Cathy Proctor where you can see a full list of tonight's participants. As always if you live in Australia and would like to know more about Stampin' Up! or would like to purchase some of the products then click on the Facebook tab at the top of the page and send me a message. As always enjoy your week.Theresa
Over the past 6 months, I have been sending out Kindness cards. These are cards with friendly or uplifting sentiments. I send them to random people and many times anonymously. There are so many different stamp companies that have awesome Kindness stamp sets available now. I've purchased quite a few fun sets and thought it

Oh I do like using sketches & Narelle has created this fun one for our new Just Add Ink challenge. I loved the stars but was in a butterfly mood so this is what I made. Looking at the sketch & my card together, I may have taken some liberties with the scale of the elements, but I think you can definitely see the sketch. It turned out much bolder & brighter than my initial idea but I still like it. Maybe the other idea will come out another time :-) It's pretty sparkly in real life with the glittery butterfly, bermuda bay & silver sequins, & silver foil but maybe not showing so well in the pic. Try clicking on the pic to see a bigger version. I really like the effect of the Softly Falling folder I embossed the Cherry on Top paper background with. The actual paper has falling sprinkles on it too so I thought the embossing would enhance it even more. The team have used the sketch in all sorts of awesome ways so see them all here on the JAI blog. I hope you'll play along & link up with the challenge too. Thanks for visiting today & I hope my card gives you ideas to try. See you next post. Another card made for a swap on the Oriental Stamp Art Yahoo Group - this time we were challenged to use some of our precious washi paper. Apparently it's not just for looking at and stroking, you CAN use it! I did a simple design which I highlighted with the use of gold thread, toning beads and a flower from the washi cut out and placed under a gel 'stone'. I enjoyed doing this one and will definitely dig into my washi stash again before too long :)
Yay!! It's Friday!! TGIF!! How about some stamping inspiration as we head into a weekend?? This week's challenge over at The Technique ...
I mentioned in my post yesterday that I got to do a video for the offical Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator Facebook Page that has over 36,000 members. I was asked to highlight the Stampin' Up!® Designer Series Paper as there is a 15% off sale some of the papers this month! Check the all out HERE. Here are some simple cards I made using the Designer Series Paper as well as some stepped up versions. All the papers are using the Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. It is such stunning paper as it has these gorgeous bold colours and also the more subdued side of the paper too. I have used the more subtle paper inside the card. Did you know when you cut down your 12" x 12" Paper you end up with 72 card front pieces??? 72! That could potentially make a minimum of 72 cards or even more if you cut the paper in half or even smaller. JOIN OUR #LOVEITCHOPIT GROUP HERE FOR MORE IDEAS ON HOW TO USE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Check out my #loveitchopit video HERE Here are the cards for you! This one is super simple - just added a ribbon and a sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp set. Here is the stepped up version of this card - I have used the Forever Gold Laser Cut Foil paper for this one and used White Emboss for the sentiment with the Tailored Tag Punch. That gorgeous Forever Greenery Ribbon softens the look and the Artistry Blooms Sequins just finish off this stunning card perfectly. Here is an idea that I shared - when you chop down your Designer Series Paper you are going to have LOTS of paper - why not dress up the inside? Here is another simple one like the Melon Mambo one at the start. Just the Paper and a sentiment. What a great card for those men in our lives. Here is the stepped up version - again with some of the Forever Gold Laser cut Paper behind the sentiment. Amazing, and yet, still so simple to do. And lastly this gorgeous paper is shown off with this #simplestamping card. I am so happy with these #loveitchopit cards! So simple and easy! Using Designer Series Paper is a great way to start card making, if you don't have mojo, or need some bulk cards in a flash. They are also very affordable to make with most of these cards costing less than $2 to make if you have the ink and stamp set already. No one would ever know that these are less than $2! Hey, all! It's a new month so we have a new theme and sketch challenge! Thanks so much to everyone who played in last month's theme and sketch challenge. We'll announce the winner and top picks next Friday, December 9, together with all of last month's challenge and blog hop winners. Please note that we now just have one post for the previous month's winners and we publish that post on the 9th or 10th of the following month. All winners have 10 days to claim their prize. So you don't miss anything, do follow our blog or subscribe by email :o) We'd love for you to create and link up your projects based on this month's theme, sketch, or both -- you've got the whole month of November to play :o) For December, our theme is STAMPS & COLLAGE. By definition, a collage is "a piece of art made by sticking various different materials such as photographs and pieces of paper or fabric onto a backing." For the purposes of this month's challenge, a collage can be using a combination of different things -- different types of inks, stamp sets, papers, materials, etc. If you end up with a collage card that is also clean and simple, make sure to link it up to the December CAS Card Challenge. And here's our fun sketch to get inspired by as well: We've got prizes for the winner and top picks as voted by the design team. Also, please take a few minutes to read our challenge guidelines. We love it when you link up your projects but unfortunately we've had to disqualify some entries for the prizes in the past because those entries didn't follow the guidelines we have outlined on this page. Have a look at the STAMPlorations girls' projects inspired by this month's theme and/or sketch! ELAINE (sketch) (Christmas Bell Medley, Holiday Artsy, Holly Mini stencil) WEI WEI (sketch) (HOLIDAY SKETCHES: Christmas Flower, Be Jolly Phrase Die) JULIE (sketch) (Vignette Christmas Block, CUTplorations Warm Winter Wishes) KATHY (Sketch) (Nordic Knit Tag, Holiday Expressions: Yuletide Cheer) JESSICA (sketch) (Fond Expressions 2, Trendy Leaves) LAURAJANE (theme) (Blossoming, Framed Carnation, Faith Expressions, Thank You, Luggage Tags Nesting dies, Blessed) Tenia (theme) (Framed Christmas: Celebrate the Season, Sentiment Builders:Happy and Sentiment Builders: Love) SUCHI (sketch) (Art Marks) BECCA (theme) (CUTplorations Jingle All the Way Phrase Die, CUTplorations Trendy Christmas Trees Coordinating Dies, Warm Hands, Warm Hearts) READY TO PLAY? Please keep in mind our simple guidelines: Link up any type of project(s) based on the theme, the sketch, or both. You must use stamps in your project(s) -- rubber, clear, or digi from any company. Non-STAMPlorations stamps are OK (although please don't link up a project you've created for the sole purpose of promoting another company; those projects will be deleted or will not be considered in the running for winner or top pick.) Link up to 6 entries and link up to as many other challenges as you want. Link directly to your blog post, not to your main blog. (This makes it easy for us to find and comment on your entry.) If you have word verification turned on, our design team may not be able to leave a comment, so please consider turning it off. Link back to this challenge post (not just our main blog) to encourage others to play too. Entries not linking back to our challenge will be deleted. Link up by December 31, 11:55 p.m. Pacific time. Have fun creating your project(s)! ~ The STAMPlorations™ girls
Good afternoon. Today sees the start of a new sketch challenge over at STAMPlorations. After the hectic stencil bloghop it's back to regular business. This is the card I would like to share today using the new sketch. It also uses some of the new stamp sets from the incredibly talented Dee, from Dee's Art Utopia. This set is called Blooming Buds and I was so excited to find it in my letterbox last week and couldn't wait to play with it. I started by stamping two of the flower heads and leaf cluster on a panel of card, which I coloured with Copics. I then stamped the large flower head, bud and large leaf on a scrap of card and then coloured and fussy cut them. The Happy Birthday was stamped on a thin strip of scrap card. I cut down an A6 (UK) piece of card and put a thin strip of dark pink card down two inner edges. The panels were then mounted over the stamped panel allowing it to peep through. I assembled the fussy cut pieces then attached them over the recessed stamped panel. OK, now it's over to you. Pop over to see what the rest of the DT and our fab GDs have made for more inspiration. 2016 #8: White Space Hi everyone! Ellie Knol here, joining you this evening with a post about white space. White space can be dramatic; highlighting the focal point of your project!. I always try to add a lot of contrast, as that is what ART is about, isn’t it? Without contrast, there will be no expression in your project. What better way is there to add contrast than (a lot of) white space? I’ve made a box from cardboard (to fit the envelopes and cards), and used the same technique on the outside of it, as I’ve used on the six cards inside it. It will make for a nice and unique gift! I’ll show you the step-by step of the box, the decorating of it. Step One: Make a box for the cards with cardboard (3mm thick). Paint the bottom part of the box with a dark brown acrylic paint. Now for the lid of the box - crinkle up some blotting paper and cover the whole of it by glueing it to the surface with decoupage glue; this creates a beautiful texture. Leave to dry. Paint it with Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics (Snowflake). This gives a nice chalky surface to use as a base for the technique. Step Two: Tap a little bit of Nuance and Bistre powders onto an acrylic block (the one I used measures 6,5 x 5,5 centimeters). Mist it with water. Stamp with this onto the surface. Blot with a paper towel if there is too much color or water in certain areas. Leave to dry. This creates a base for the stamping and a die cut. PaperArtsy says: this effect would be wonderful done with our new Infusions, available from your favourite PaperArtsy retailer now. Step Three: Add some stamping with Ink & The Dog Mini Stamps (Mini 61 and Mini 29) with a permanent dark brown ink. ID Mini 61 ID Mini 29 These mini stamps are beautiful to use for backgrounds. Step Four: Spray the surface with a fixative. Add a diecut. Add a permanent dark brown ink to the edges with an ink pad. Paint the whole surface with a multi medium. As I said - I've made six cards with the same technique. I did not use blotting paper as the base though, just plain cardstock.I used two more minis on the cards Mini 28 and Mini 58. Mini 28 Mini 58 Here are the cards, made with the same technique. (Mini 61 and Mini 28) (Mini 61 and Mini 58) (Mini 61 and Mini 28) (Mini 61 and Mini 58) (Mini 61 and Mini 29) (Mini 61 and Mini 29) It's so easy to do! The most difficult with this technique is to keep the white space white! (grin) The sky is the limit here: you can choose different colors, stamp with a bigger acrylic block, maybe even a round one, or with a gelatin plate. You could choose to stamp with any other ink or paint; use a stamped image instead of a diecut. I've used two diecuts from Memory Box in this post. Give it a try! Hope you will enjoy this as inspiration to create your projects! Ellie Knol I am also on Pinterest, Flickr and Facebook See you! Welcome to the blog Ellie, your style here is just beautiful. Using an acrylic block to transfer the colour is a great idea and gives an element of control. Fabulous layering, so very effective, and a stunning gift to give. ~Darcy The PaperArtsy blog challenge is an opportunity for you to play along with the ideas our bloggers present. The current topic is #8: White Space. You can put your own twist on the ideas presented, share or try something totally new. As long as it fits the theme we would love to see what has inspired you! This is the first in a series of posts all about the Eastern Palace suite. The Eastern Beauty stamps & Eastern Medallion die bundle in the suite are very cleverly designed to work brilliantly both together and separately, and also combine with other punches & dies for endless possibilities. I featured Eastern Palace & the new 2017-19 In-Colours in my May sneak peek class. This was the first card we made. Fresh fig (one of our new In-colours), gold foil & vanilla make a very elegant combination don't you think? I've used a birthday sentiment from Happy Birthday, Gorgeous on this one, but this design would work well for many occasions. One of my class lovelies made it into a wedding card. The shaped window is cut with the large circle medallion & a medium circle medallion dies plus a scallop circle die from the Layering Circles set. The circles mix and match & can be cut together for a super quick intricate look. I popped the vanilla layer up on a gold foil card layer for lots more shine... not really apparent in the pic. The gold floral medallion in the centre is made with one of the Eastern Gold vinyl stickers from the suite. The stickers are clear with a gold foil look, and some coordinate & can be cut with the dies. For this one I stuck the sticker on gold cardstock, then cut it out with the 2 coordinating dies. I kept the inside simple, just adding more sentiments & a gold border sticker. So that's card of my Eastern Palace review. I hope you liked it. Lots more to come tomorrow so pop in again tomorrow. Thanks for visiting. Inky wishes, Di If you haven't checked out the Eastern Palace suite yet, check out the discounted bundle in the full card supply list below. Happy Monday, I had almost forgotten my love of the colour combination of Teal and white something I used to use on so many occasions. I was looking at the new stamps to die for from Sue's new range, when I was chatting with Julia at her workshop the other day as she is the Queen of stamping, and I could just see this card in my head. I started by stamping the floral doodle stamp to die for (to match the New York Collection) in Perfect Medium onto teal foundation card. I added cosmic shimmer detail white embossing powder and heat set it. I did this twice more to make three identical images. Using the square die from the New York collection, Herald square die set, I cut each stamped image out. For the centres I hand cut the middles out using my scalpel. To make the centre panel I simply placed them on top of each other and then wove a strip of white card, with a piece of teal seam binding stuck along it, through the three shapes. I wove this piece over and under each successive corner so that all elements of the design were visible across the three. I then foam mounted this onto a base embossed with the creative expressions A4 embossing folder adding a teal border and tucking the ends over. To finish the card I added the panel to a large mat of white and teal . Finally I added a multilingual bow in the same teal seam binding and a black large dazzler to the top. Ingredients: Sue wilson's New York Union square die Creative expressions A4 embossing folder Climbing Vines Stamps to die for floral doodle stamp Teal and coconut white foundation card Teal seam binding Enjoy...

Happy Saturday. I don't have a paper craft item for you today. But, I also don't want you to miss out of this weeks creative challenge over @ Our Creative Corner. I have been under the weather. Home in bed for that past 4 days sick. I was able to get a few crafts done in advance, but not this one. Our hostess this week is Kristin. And she has a very creative challenge this week. Here it is: Bakin' Beauty. Kristin is obsessed with beautiful cookies and 'fancy' cakes. Her challenge this week is to make a creation based on these delish looking treats - the catch? You MUST use something you would use in baking in your creation. Get creative - use food coloring, paper liners, or sprinkles. Know any cool techniques with egg whites, flour, or sugar? You need to explain your 'ingredient' in your description of your creation. Here is an inspirational photo: I have to admit, that I just love those cookie tags. I thought of using cup cake liners to create a paper blossom. How fun and lovely would that be? I thought that sanding sugar would make a great chunky glitter. And what about using icing coloring to water color with? I think it would be lovely and creative. I just don't have the strength to create. But, I hope that you have a chance to play along with us @ Our Creative Corner. I would love to see what you come up with. I know it will be special!
