“Andersen had the ability to articulate desires petty and profound and make them into transcendent tales.”
Last week, Lorri asked me if I had any archangel coloring pages that she could use for a homeschool party. I was planning on making some, so I bumped up my production schedule to get her a St. Michael to use. The Professor chose this picture as the most manly one we could find (with the exception of the girly hair~ his words). Well, this weekend, I worked on Gabriel and Raphael too and let me tell you, I think I'm going cross-eyed! Those pages were probably the hardest ones I've done yet. Lots of little lines. I tried to give myself a bit of a reprieve by not doing full bodies. And for an example of what happens when I leave my comfort zone, take a look at Raphael. Not exactly like the original. I thought St. Raphael was usually seen with a fish, not a child and The Professor said something about a staff which my brain translated as "spear" until well into the black lining process when The Professor decided to inform me that it is usually a walking staff. Oh well. Not starting over! No way. No how. Anyway, I hope you enjoy them. The Professor has already claimed St. Michael. I am betting Sunshine and Shortcake both choose Gabriel and that leaves Raphael to endure BigBoy's colorful scribbling. Serves him right.

Although we've always thought of ourselves as rather minimalist, we've been realizing that we have attachments to things that we don't really want or need anymore, and have a hard time letting them go. What we are really attached to are the memories and associations the object spurs, afraid we'd lose the memory if we could never see the object again. As a solution, we started photographing things we wanted to let go of to create a digital archive of 'Memory Stuff'. It freed us up to give stuff away. Now we have a photo to remind us the tiny

My post WTF is a Christian Witch has been viewed nearly 20k times this last year. It’s amazing to me how many people out there are vibing with this idea of being both a little bit witchy and a little bit Jesus-y. I mostly just wrote that post as a way to process some of my own thoughts on the
