When we think about different spaces in our home and the function they play in our daily lives, we as designers want to maximize the full potential of each and every room. One dedicated space that can be tricky to design but a huge benefit to our individual health and wellness, is a gym room. The key is first finding the right space in your home, then striking the right balance between form and function in that space. Not too sterile or overdone but rather uncluttered, airy and smartly laid out. Think about your exercise essentials and build a plan from there. Keep it pared down on the equipment and give yourself space to move. Add hearty plants with air cleansing capabilities and an unfussy stone oil diffuser with calming essential oils like eucalyptus and lavender to keep it fresh. The technological advancements in home workout equipment has been great in recent years. Instead of clunky and unsightly many new machines are sleek with a significantly smaller spatial footprint than their predecessors. Our new favorite? NOHRD.
