Scripture verses remind us Jesus' promises. These promises are a great treasure, so let's have a Bible study lesson to hunt for these treasures!
Where have you stored your treasure—on earth or in heaven? The world we live in today is a consumer’s paradise. We can’t drive down the road or turn on the TV without an ad telling us that we are lacking something in our lives. Like little children, our hearts are naturally drawn to flashy toys and the newest gadgets but happiness in them is often short-lived. When our possessions have lost their lustre and appeal, we often look for the next best thing that we think will bring us some fulfillment
Whew, here we go again! NEW YEAR, NEW SONGS! I'm not sure about all of you but I've had a really tough week deciding how to start off teaching this beautiful song. I have decided that I want to try and present the spiritual message as I do the introduction of the new songs each month. I immediately knew that I wanted the kids to understand that when we are singing this song for the program we will be sharing our testimony with everyone. That we KNOW HE LIVES and LOVES EACH and EVERY ONE of US. My brain was all over the place. I went from BEARing our testimonies, teaching it with BEARS, all the way to Testimony the DRAGON slayer, where we would end up building an ARMOR puzzle to signify how our testimonies are like armor and make us strong and protect us. I just couldn't settle. I prayed that HF would guide me and use me as a tool to teach the children the message he would like them to receive in learning this beautiful song. I had thought about doing many things but just couldn't get that "ah'ha" feeling that I get when I know something is right. As I was driving to get my kids from school yesterday, its like magic, everything just started coming together and Voil'a, I had it! I am going to present this song using TREASURES because a TESTIMONY is a treasure. BEAUTIFUL, fragile, precious to each and everyone of us! Ezra Taft Benson has said, "A testimony is one of the few possessions we may take with us when we leave this life." To start out I will have a short discussion with the kiddo's that goes something like this. What is the greatest treasure that you have? When you pass away what will happen to that treasure? Can it go with you? Today we are going to learn a song that represents one of HF greatest TREASURES you can ever have and when you pass away this TREASURE can go with you. You can change lives using this treasure!!! Does anyone know what it might be? We will then begin our TREASURE HUNT finding the pics and words for the song in little treasure boxes: Treasure Box #1 will include these pics and words: A Long Time Ago in a Beautiful place Children were gathered "round Jesus Treasure box #2: He Blessed and taught as they felt of his love Each saw the tears on his face Treasure Box #3: The love that he felt for his little ones I know he feels for me Treasure Box #4: I did not touch him or sit on his knee, Yet, Jesus is real to me The last treasure box will include the Chorus and reveal to the children that the TREASURE we are singing about is our TESTIMONY. I will also be including Chocolate coins in the final treasure box to help them remember that their testimony is a TREASURE that will bring them eternal Happiness (I don't know about you, but chocolate makes me Happy!!) and that when we sing this song for the program, we are sharing our TESTIMONY, that Jesus lives and Loves us! We can touch the hearts of others with our testimony and help them to receive this TREASURE for themselves. Final Treasure box #5 will be bigger and include: Chorus and pics as follows: I KNOW HE LIVES I WILL FOLLOW FAITHFULLY MY HEART I GIVE TO HIM I KNOW THAT MY SAVIOR LOVES ME!! "MY TESTIMONY IS MY SOUL'S TREASURE" ELDER ROBERT C. GAY What a beautiful song. I hope I can help the children feel their TESTIMONIES grow as they sing this beautiful hymn. Thanks for taking a peek. Happy Singing Everyone!! Click here to download the Word Doc I will be using for my pics and words

Today we will study about a man named Boaz who like Jesus purchased a field to obtain a treasure that was his bride named Ruth. Jesus also purchased a field or this world with His own blood to obtain a treasure that is His bride or the church of saints who believe that Jesus is God and died for them on the cross and rose again. Ephesians 5:22 tells us that the church is the bride of Christ and says Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and He is the saviour of the body. Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. The story about the picture above can be found at Ruth 2:2 that says And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her Go, my daughter. And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers; and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech. Below is the story of Boaz and Ruth as Jesus showed Brother Bob through the preaching of his good friend Pastor Sonny Mull. Boaz (who was King David's great grandfather) was the son of a prostitute named Rahab whose husband was Salmon. Boaz lived in a city named Bethlehem Judah and down the road apiece lived some kin to Boaz named Elimelech and his wife Naomi. Because of a famine in the land, Elimelech, Naomi, and their two sons Mahlon and Chilion decided to go down to Moab saying Moab has plenty of food. Then Mahlon and Chilion married two Moabite women named Ruth and Orpah. Unfortunately, Elimelech, Mahlon, and Chilion died in Moab, and Naomi decided to go back to Bethlehem Judah saying I'd rather be with God's people than fare with this crowd. When Naomi returned to Bethlehem Judah, the famine was gone. Only Naomi's daughter in law Ruth came back with her to Bethlehem Judah. One day Boaz saw Ruth working in his field, gleaning, just picking up grains of corn and wheat that people dropped. Ruth would pick up a handful and put it in her pocket and pick up another handful and put it in her pocket. Then Ruth went home and ground up the corn and wheat and made a biscuit so she wouldn't die. Ruth and Naomi lived from day to day off the handfuls of grain that Ruth daily picked up. As Boaz watched Ruth glean in his field, Boaz wanted to marry Ruth and loved Ruth. But before Boaz could marry Ruth, according to the law, Boaz had to redeem and buy the field where Ruth lived. Boaz told Ruth if you'll marry me then I'll just buy the field also where you live. Then Boaz said Oh no, there's one more person closer to your family than I am. Pictured above we see what occurred when Boaz met the relative who was closer to Ruth's family than Boaz. Boaz told this relative if you redeem and buy Naomi's property, you also have to marry that Moabite woman named Ruth. Boaz made it seem that Ruth was ugly saying to the relative you'll have to marry her, you'll have to marry her, when all the time Boaz wanted to marry Ruth. This is stated at Ruth 4:5 that says Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance. After hearing this, the closer relative said I can't redeem the field because it would mar my property. Boaz said all right then lets make an agreement; everybody gather around; we're gonna make a swear or covenant; you sell and let me Boaz buy the property, you relinquish your rights to it, you relinquish your rights to the woman, you relinquish your rights to the field, and I'll buy it. The relative said OK and they agreed and shook hands. Pictured above the relative took off his shoe and gave it to Boaz. That's the way they completed a sale of property in those days. In other words the relative told Boaz I have no more right to walk on your property; It's your property and I have to ask your permission to walk on it from now on or you can tell me no trespassing barefoot. Now notice that Boaz could not marry Ruth until he bought or redeemed the field where Ruth lived. We see that the reason Boaz bought the field was because the bride was connected to the field. Jesus, like Boaz bought a field or this world with His own blood because His bride the church was also connected to the field. Right now in this field or world scattered abroad north, south, east, and west are Jews, Gentiles, bond, free, male, and female that are the the bride church or the body of Christ. And one day soon, Jesus is gonna say Come up hither, and the church is gonna come together bone to bone, joint to joint, and sinew to sinew. Jesus is the head, and the bride church is the body of Christ who will go into heaven to the marriage supper of the Lamb. Revelation 19:7 says Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to Him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white; for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Pictured above we see yet another field purchased in the bible by the prophet Jeremiah named Anathoth to claim a promised treasure. Jeremiah 32:6 tells us And Jeremiah said, The word of the Lord came unto me saying, Behold Hanameel the son of Shallum thine uncle shall come unto thee saying, Buy thee my field that is in Anathoth (defined as answers to prayer), for the right of redemption is thine to buy it. After God told Jeremiah to buy Hanameel's field in Anathoth, I could see Jeremiah tell God, Lord I just got done telling the people that they were going into captivity for 70 years in Babylon. Why should I buy a piece of property if I'm gonna be a slave in Babylon. Why should I buy a piece of property, even though it's dirt cheap at this time and only 17 shekels of silver, if I'm gonna be captured and hauled off to Babylon for 70 years. God replied and said Jeremiah purchase the field because you will soon come back to Israel to possess the field to build houses and vineyards. Pictured above we see Jeremiah purchasing Hanameel's field of Anathoth for only 17 shekels of silver. Jeremiah 32:9 says And I bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money even 17 shekels of silver. Jeremiah 32:13 goes on to say And I charged Baruch before them saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days. For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land. Now after Jeremiah bought the field at Anathoth, the people in Israel probably said to Jeremiah why did you buy this field in Anathoth. The other day you said we're going into captivity in Babylon. Now you're buying property in Israel. Are you a con man? Jeremiah replied and said I'm not a con man; the reason I bought the field in Anathoth Israel is because I'm a doomsday preacher buying US Savings bonds because we all will return soon to possess houses and vineyards in Israel. Like Jeremiah, we all can rejoice and say I'm investing now in Jesus as I preach the Word because one day soon I'm coming back to the new heaven and the new earth with Jesus riding on a white horse to cast the beast and false prophet into the lake of fire forevermore. After this I'll sit with Jesus on His throne ruling and reigning in peace for 1000 years and forevermore in His blessed kingdom. Friends reading this, like Jeremiah we might also hear people around us say why are you continuing to preach, sing, pray, serve, and work for Jesus if the world is coming to an end as America becomes more and more wicked each day? People might also say preacher if America is going down, why are you continuing to serve Jesus and invest in Jesus? Brother Bob says reply and say because my payday might be seven years later. Payday will come after tribulation ends, the devil's beat down, whooped, destroyed, and cast into the bottomless pit for 1000 years. Friends, you'll be glad you served Jesus today when you rule and reign in peace with Jesus for 1000 years. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. Galatians 6:9 says And let us not be weary in well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Also Hebrews 6:10 says For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. OK, now Brother Bob wants to share with my friends what it will be like during the 1000 years of peace with Jesus on this earth and in the kingdom forevermore. First, we see the picture above stating Habakkuk 2:14 that says For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. Today, there is a 7 mile deep spot that was found in the ocean called the Challenger Deep at the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. Just think about the knowledge of Jesus being 7 miles deep around all the vast oceans of this world. Deep sea divers say that all of Mount Everest could fit into the 7 mile deep spot called the Challenger Deep at the Mariana Trench. When Jesus comes back to earth during the 1000 years of peace and in the kingdom, all the saints will know who Jesus is. All the saints from every nation will go up to Zion to worship King Jesus who will forevermore reign on the throne of God. Philippians 2:10 says That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Isaiah 2:2 also tells us And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Also, during the 1000 years of peace on this earth and in the kingdom with Jesus, the wild animals will be tame and the ox and the lion will eat straw together; and the lamb and the wolf won't hurt each other. Isaiah 65:25 says The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock; and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord. The gardens will be like a forest where you can't see the woods because of the garden plants. Isaiah 32:15 says Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field (defined as garden) be counted for a forest. Isaiah 29:17 also says Is it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? The prophet Ezekial also declared that the fruitful field or garden will be like paradise and the garden of Eden. Ezekial 36:34 says And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited. Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate; I the Lord have spoken it, and I will do it. The bible also tells us that people will learn of war no more; they'll beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks. Micah 4:3 says And He shall judge among many people and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Isaiah 2:4 also says And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. And during the 1000 years of peace with Jesus and in the kingdom forevermore, there will be no bad thoughts, sickness, death, sorrow, crying, or pain. Revelation 21:4 tells us And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. There will be no crippled, blind, or people that can't talk in the kingdom with Jesus and during the 1000 years of peace. A crippled man on earth in a wheelchair who can't walk will leap like a deer forevermore with Jesus. A dumb man on earth who can't speak will always sing joyfully with Jesus. A blind man on earth will open their eyes and rejoice as they see Jesus in glory. Be encouraged friends and rejoice as you read from the bible how along with Brother Bob, Isaiah proclaimed that there will be no crippled people in Jesus' presence at Isaiah 35:4 that says Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not; behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. For my final picture today we see a map above of Israel during the 1000 years of peace with Jesus described by the prophet Ezekial. Now, Brother Bob wants all my friends everywhere to notice two cities on the map named Engedi and Eneglaim that are both located on the Dead Sea. Also notice that from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea we see a waterway connecting Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. Currently, there are no fish in the Dead Sea because the waters of the Dead Sea are bitter. But, when Jesus returns to this earth during the 1000 years of peace, living waters will go out from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea, and the bitter waters of the Dead Sea shall be healed. Also, fishers will throw their nets into the Dead Sea and catch multitudes of fish. Take time and rejoice as you read the following scriptures that prove that the Dead Sea will be healed and contain multitudes of fish again when Jesus returns to this earth and puts His feet upon the mount of Olives beginning the 1000 years of peace. Zechariah 14:4 states And His (Jesus') feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. Currently many people want to be buried at the Mount of Olives because they believe this is the first place Jesus' feet will touch upon His return to earth. Zechariah 14:8 goes on to say And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea; in summer and winter shall it be. (Notice that even in the cold winter Jerusalem will supply water to the Dead Sea and multitudes of fish will live in the Dead Sea's healed waters). Ezekial 47:7 also says Now when I had returned, behold at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea, which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. Ezekial 47:9 goes on to say And it shall come to pass, that everything that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come shall live. And there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither; for they shall be healed; and everything shall live whither the river cometh. And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi (western city on the Dead Sea) even unto Eneglaim (eastern city on the Dead Sea); they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many. Note that after the 1000 years of peace are done, and the devil is cast into the lake of fire forever, and the great white throne judgment occurs, the first heaven and the first earth will pass away, and there will be no more sea. According to Revelation 21:1 a new heaven and a new earth will be created, and the holy city called the new Jerusalem will come down out of heaven, and God will dwell with the saints on this new earth in the peaceful kingdom forevermore. Jesus showed Brother Bob the reason there is no more sea is because the sea is always raging and roaring. In the new heaven and new earth the water will be a peaceful pure river of water of life stated by Revelation 22:1 that says And He shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. According to Revelation 21:6, Jesus will give His saints this fountain of the water of life freely. Also Revelation 7:17 tells us For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters; and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. As always, I pray in Jesus name this bible study blesses multitudes of people everywhere with peace and strength.
