About The Artwork A mixed media artwork created through screen printed, repeat patters collaged together and worked on top of with acrylic and oil paint for the leaves of the alocasia plant. The piece is part of a series of experiments, using printed patterns to build a base for the paintings to sit on/work with. I wanted to capture the plant's personality and dress it with print and patterns as fun as it's own, yet contrasting its marble-like leaves with geometric shapes and spots.
