Every so often you come across a wine that just completely impresses. Thomas Pinot Noir is one of those wines. I’ve been lucky enough to get half a case per year for the last few vintages, so after taking a look in our cellar for a special wine for a birthday, decided to pull one of the 2018s. Wasn’t really sure what to expect, but this wine was wow. In the glass this was a medium weight Pinot Noir. The aromas it as giving off were mushroom and red fruit, along with a healthy dose of tea. After taking a

Hi! I'm Marti Michell. When Moda asked me to be part of the Rulers Rule blog hop I immediately said “Yes!” It was almost as easy to decide that, because Log Cabin quilts are popular with nearly everyone, the From Marti Michell Log Cabin Rulers would be the tools I'd want to talk about!Just in case you haven’t made a Log Cabin quilt or even a block, Log Cabin starts with a center square and is completed by adding strips to the center unit in either a clockwise or counterclockwise order.

While you never plan to have to miss school, it's inevitable that for some purpose or occasion - whether expected or unexpected - you will be leaving your classroom in the hands of a substitute teacher. As with any other aspect of teaching, you need to have a good game plan for helping your replacement get through the day - providing them with everything from class rosters and activities to where to find all the important materials and the daily class schedule. A substitute tub or binder is a great way to collect all the information in one place and will give you peace of mind in the event you're ever called from the classroom without notice. We found several great examples to help you put together your own sub tub/binder! Photo Source: teach-bake-love.blogspot.com Melissa over at Teach Bake Love had an extra plastic storage container so she decided a sub tub was in order. Inside you'll see that the tub contains various hanging file folders, each one labeled and easy for the substitute to surmise what the folder contains. Two things we love about this sub tub... Melissa created emergency plans for an entire week, including enough copies of each activity for all her students and answer keys as well. Not only can Melissa rest easy knowing that there's a plan if something unexpected happened and she was pulled away from the classroom for more than a couple days, she's also made it extremely easy for her substitute who won't have to go running to make copies between classes! All the essentials - i.e. bell schedule, classroom tour, student roster, etc. - are included in Melissa's "Stuff the Sub Should Know" folder, but we love that she also included information on each of the Team Teachers + other helpful teachers should the substitute have any questions. This is a great resource for subs who may be unfamiliar with your team; they'll have the names and locations of helpers in the event they have questions or need support! Photo Source: organized-chaos-teaching.blogspot.com Jackie over at My Organized Classroom put her sub plans in binder form - and actually provides the template for FREE at her blog! Even if you plan to make your own, we love Jackie's colorful book and figured it could be used as a 'checklist' of sorts. It is very organized (the table of contents is a great way to make sure your substitute can find things quickly!) and quite helpful for making sure you have all the necessary information collected for your substitute! Photo Source: jasztalville.net Last, but not least, this substitute binder found on Pinterest has a key feature that would be a great addition to your substitute tub/binder - photos of the classroom and pictures of where to find important materials! Sometimes it's difficult to explain exactly where to find something and it is definitely time consuming to write where everything is located. The picture method allows you to show instead of tell, and is a more clear and concise way of helping your substitute get acquainted with the classroom! [NOTE: The best part is, if you employ the use of a classroom photo tour at the beginning of the school year to help your kiddos get accustomed to daily procedures, centers, and material locations - this will be a snap!] These are just a few ideas/tips to help you get your substitute plans in order! While you can't always control what pulls you out of the classroom, a substitute tub/binder can help to ensure that, even though you're not there, the day goes off without a hitch!
We all know weddings can be stressful. Plenty of wine will be needed to navigate the many decisions without pulling your hair out. Our wedding planning with hearts stemless wine glass is laser etched creating a beautiful frosted effect that is dishwasher safe and will hold up for years. We have 5+ years experience running lasers and have developed a system that produces the perfect etched effect, period. Zero glass fracturing, just a smooth frosted look that will hold up for the lifetime of the glass. You'll receive your glass safely packed in a 200lb test box securely wrapped in a combination of foam and bubble wrap that creates the optimal protection for shipping glasses. We've taken our packed glasses and kicked the boxes around the house like soccer balls. That way we can confidently promise that even the most disgruntled postal worker will deliver your glass intact even if he/she decides to literally kick the box up to your front door. So you've decided to breastfeed. Fantastic! Breastfeeding is a wonderful way to nourish your baby while establishing early bonding. Unfortunately, breast milk comes out of breasts so there are a few ground rules that we need to cover.
He has decided, at last, that there is no death and thus nothing to fear. That there is only combustion and respiration. That all creation is alive and that what we think of as birth and death is only the universe itself breathing. And he has decided that, this being the case, his mother shall never truly die...nor he grow into an adult. For he is-and will remain-the X-Ray Rider. And now that school is out he is running-running like a little boy-for home; even as lightning flashes in the blue-black sky and splinters it into a thousand shards, until at last he sees the back of their house about a half-mile north-and, seeking a shortcut, swerves into someone's yard. There is a narrow concrete path along the side of this house, its surface soaking wet so that it reflects track lights embedded in the eaves. Its perimeter is guarded by an iron rail. He vaults over the rail-More than human! More than divine! X-Ray Rider! X-Ray Runner!-but there is no concrete, no reflection. He is falling, arms swinging....HE IS LYING AT THE BOTTOM of a stairwell. There is broken glass everywhere as if he has fallen through a window, which he has, or at least the glass portion of a basement door, which stands ajar, creaking. He vaguely recalls hearing sheets of paper swish-swishing down, scattering around him. He is bleeding from his palms, his head, his nose, his arms-one of which is numb, sleeping. He feels himself all over with his good hand, expecting brains to be oozing out, bones protruding. But nothing seems to be broken, although his left leg is splayed uncomfortably. Glass grates as he grips his ankle, pulling it toward him, dragging papers along, and folds it beneath him. He tries to stand but there is nothing to grip, only the door pane which is spiked with glass. His head swims dizzily. How could he be so stupid? Falling for such an obvious illusion-mistaking the shining wet stairwell and the light above its door for a reflection. The thought of it shames him.He hears something pattering against the wind- breaker-blood from his nose, blotting the powder-blue nylon with splotches of maroon. He looks at the top of the well, a concrete rectangle with the dimensions of a tomb, sees darkened eaves, hazily, and beyond them, storm clouds, drifting across the sky. He places his good hand against the wall and climbs to his knees, not wanting to remain in the stairwell another instant, wanting to run home as fast as he can, to his mother and bedroom and plastic model kits, to beige-colored carpets and warm air blowing from heat registers. The concrete wall of the well presses bitter cold against his palm.He crawls upon his knees through the broken glass, gathering up pages, smearing them with blood. When he gets them back into the folder he staggers out of the stairwell, one landing at a time, his injured leg resisting, but feels a wave of nausea as he reaches the top-and pivots, so that he is leaning against the rail, staring into the well, breathing heavily. The broken door below sways and creaks. The rain drones against the world. This is what it will actually be like, he thinks, when they lower her into the vault. As he and his brothers-pallbearers, if episodes of Night Gallery are any indication-stand brooding. As his father stands off to one side looking like the widows in movies, only minus the veil-glassy-eyed, untouchable, waltzing with ghosts. As the minister takes a handful of earth and shakes it onto the casket, saying, 'Ashes to ashes, dust to dust...' Until the caretakers come and begin shoveling dirt into her eyes. And she will begin sobbing because it is cold down there and she is so alone, abandoned by everyone. Because she was a good wife and a good mother and it all ends like this, with shovelfuls of earth in her eyes and hair. | Author: Wayne Kyle Spitzer | Publisher: Independently published | Publication Date: October 31, 2019 | Number of Pages: 597 pages | Language: English | Binding: Paperback | ISBN-10: 1704342155 | ISBN-13: 9781704342153

You can transfer the pattern by printing it and either use dressmaking transfer paper, water or air soluble pen, light box, large window, etc. My preferred method is using a light box and .01 black pigma pen. These breach alert warnings have been designed with students in mind, are you worried about your kids whilst at school and not being able to access their medical devices, eat when needed or using the toilet? I know i am!! We have been in a small rural school since my daughter started school, but as she transitions to high school next year i worry about her having issues accessing what she needs to & when. Not from those that will know her and have her on a regular basis, but its always common to have relief teachers coming & going. After reading some horrible stories this week in regards to Type 1s starting school & being singled out by staff for accessing their phone when needed or having a hypo treatment i decided i needed to make these cards right NOW! Some adults will just not listen & they know better no matter what our kids might say. I want the kids to have something that they can pull out of their pocket or bag that will get that adults immediate attention, and i think this card covers that! It has been suggested that it may be a good idea to have a principal sign the card also? There is room on the front of the card for this or to add a contact number if needed. While we are providing these free of charge as we believe anyone who wants one should have access we do have a small postage charge for them. The cards are a business card size, so will fit in kits, pockets or even pencil cases. 1 FREE PER PERSON, after that there is a charge of $1.00 each. If you have multiple Type 1s in your family please message me and i will add them in for you.

I cannot get enough of this leather. It’s a full grain oil-tanned cowhide in a color that recalls vintage sports cars and those beautiful leather club chairs in some European diplomat’s house. Racing Green. I decided to skip the pinstripes and do the straps in a nice deep cherry brown that really brings out the depth of the green. Also the inside is just as pretty as the outside. These are constructed with a unique and labor intensive woven ribbon of leather that holds the structure of the bag together. The main body is one single piece of leather with an additional exterior pocket as well as solid brass hardware. Pulling the strap up through the middle makes it a tote. Pulling it down makes it a backpack. No fuss or adjusting or unclipping. Perfect for biking into work and showing up in an office like you just got dropped off by your chauffeur. Measures 15”x14”x4” (perfect sized for most laptops) Just in case you can fit everything inside, the closure is adjustable to give you a little wiggle room.
