Lake Kandy, also known as Kiri Mukhuda or the Milk Sea, is an artificial lake in the heart of the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka, built in 1807 by King Sri Vikrama Rajasinghe near the Temple of the Tooth. Over the years, it has been reduced in size. This is a protected lake with prohibited fishing.
